Happy Monday, friends! How was your weekend? Did you catch the Golden Globes last night?! I caught the first half (getting too old to stay up that late!!) and thought that it was amazingly fun to see what stars were sporting for the first big awards show this year! Along with a LOT of cleavage, we saw loads of embellishments, high slits, draping and more high-to-low hemlines. I was surprised at the number of white & winter white gowns and it got me wondering if the red carpet style is any indication of wedding gown designs that will be coming this year. Either way, what do you think of white gowns becoming a norm for formal occasions other than the big day?!
Pretty things are in the works!
Hey there! How was your weekend? We're getting geared up for another busy week putting finishing touches on our NEW WEBSITE and the Ready to Order line!! Wahooo! There are so many fun & beautiful things in the pipeline, we're just plain giddy! Let's kick off the week with some feminine, sassy and well jeweled heels! Aren't they to die for?!
Happy Monday! Now let's carpe diem!!
Flower girl frocks
I'm a sucker for miniature versions of things- cupcakes, dogs, baby shoes and so on. Do you get that same gushy feeling?! When it comes to picking out attire for the kiddos in the wedding party, there is nothing more fun than seeing the frills, lace, ribbons and poufs available for flower girls! These dresses are some of our current faves for that little lady, many of which are available on Etsy, believe it or not!
Designer Spotlight: Emily Riggs
It's been awhile since we've done a designer spotlight/ designer crush post but this one is well worth the occasion!! Between blog features, magazine appearances and Pinterest, we haven't been able to resist pouring over Emily Riggs Bridal's beautiful designs. Her collection exudes romance & whimsy. See what I mean?!

Going natural
Nature is a constant source of inspiration for us at Paper Moss, but admittedly, lately I've been too swept up in "life" to notice or appreciate beauty that we're surrounded by. It's time for a change, folks!! Having studied textiles and fashion in college, I get really pumped up about seeing new materials used for trends… or rather, old materials used in different ways. Right now, I'm totally loving the range of stones, minerals and gems that we've been seeing EVERYWHERE- especially druzy! What a fabulous way to add a little natural bling to an ensemble!!
4 Ways to Wear Red Shoes
The concept of donning bright red shoes on a normal day doesn't do much for me, but in light of Valentines Day coming up, I was searching high and low for some festive looks. After seeing some of these polished combinations, my mind just might be changed! What do you think??
Happy Shoesday!
Three L's we're in love with
Leopard, leather and Louis, of course! There is something so sleek & sophisticated about this look- we just can't get enough! Those of you in warmer winter climates can probably pull this off now, but those of us who call New England home will have to file it away for the future!!
And as a side note, that super cute leather jacket is on sale right now!
Perfecting the LWD
These days finding the perfect LWD {little white dress} is a necessity for every bride. Whether it's for the rehearsal + dinner or for a getaway dress, this is a MUST. The one time in our lives where we get to rock a plain white frock without the worry of a faux pas. Once I realized this great opportunity staring me in the face, I started the hunt for my own little white dress. While on my journey, I stumbled upon these:

Bring on the bling
Sometimes you just need to add a little bling to an outfit, right? What do you think of these gigantic jewel clutches by Stella McCartney to get the job done?

Here it is in action...

I'm actually loving the contrast against that simple white ensemble!! Would you ever give it a go?
Make a statement
For brides that are looking to add some character to a simple, classic dress, we're loving the idea of accessorizing with a fabulous statement necklace. There are so many beautiful options out there and not only are they reasonably priced, but you can wear them again!! I'm going with a statement necklace for my big day and along the way on my search, I fell in love with these:
1- Aldo
2- Tildon
3- JCrew
4- Kendra Scott
6- Kate Spade
As a hint, the one I chose is not on here! ;)
A Coach summer steal
If you're on the search for some hot summer heels and are a lover of bargains, PLEASE check out the Steffi Heel from Coach!! Only $119 and it comes in 4 different color combos... what's not to love!?! I especially love how they look paired with these striped skinny jeans!

Sassy sandals
With all of this hot weather we've been having in Boston, I'm reminded that it's pretty challenging to stay simultaneously stylish and cool. We're talking temps in the 90's WITH humidity... yea, that's not quite the summer weather I've been longing for. While we're forced to devote our efforts to covering odd tan lines and cooling off from stickiness, the thought of cute summer sandals gives hope to at least having chic looking feet... :) Check out our recent round up of some neutrals that we're crushing on: black & gold!

At least consider it
Finding a bridesmaids dress that suits all your ladies can be quite the task, especially if you have a large bridal party. This is a challenge that I've recently had to face and while trying to consider budgets, color and styles they'll all feel comfortable and beautiful in, I've come across some helpful options that I couldn't resist passing along in case you're in the market too! Consider the option of renting!!! If this was an option during the peek of my friends getting married, it not only would have saved me hundreds of dollars, but also some valuable closet space. Why did I keep the dresses for so long? I have no idea! #fashionfail Anyway, there are 2 awesome options should you choose to go that route.
Little Borrowed Dress is a site specifically for bridesmaid dresses! You can choose different dresses in the same color or the same dress in different colors!
{via}
Rent the Runway {also great for showers & rehearsal dinner wear!} has some stellar options in a variety of colors and styles. This site is perfect if you're looking for a non- traditional bridesmaid style.
{via}
You can have either site send two different sizes of the dress so each bridesmaid can pick the one that fits them best. They'll arrive in the mail {professionally cleaned and ready to wear} to the address of your choice. Rent the Runway has a 4 or 8 day rental {you pick the arrival date} and Little Borrowed Dress arrives 2 weeks prior. After the big day, your friends just pop their dresses back in the provided return mailing materials! Super simple!
Merci beaucoup
A few months ago we had the chance to meet up with Jacqueline Weppner, the beauty behind Merci New York. Can I just tell you, this woman is inspiring?! Along with being incredibly sweet, she founded & operates a {New York based} company that offers styling services for brides, an inspiration-packed blog and a lovely little online style shop. Today's Purseday pick is straight from their shop. This coral python clutch is begging to be in my closet but really, any color would do. ;) I just love the versatility of this little bag and one of my favorite parts... you can choose between vintage inspired brooches for the front closure!! Oh details!

To all of you brides reading this, if you're looking for a chic, flawless wedding style, hook up with Merci New York! And, if you haven't checked out their blog yet, it's a must!
A spring staple
Are you ready to have your mind blown? Yes, today I am taking a leap of vulnerability and sharing with you something I am way too obsessed about. In the spirit of Purseday, I think you'll understand. So, have you ever heard the name Clare Vivier? If not, you're welcome and I'm sorry. Clare makes the most beautiful leather bags- a perfect merger of chic Parisian style and California cool.

So why am I sorry, you ask? You will likely experience the same lustful longing that I continue to suffer from and will probably feel torn over which color to start with. Case and point:

Which one do you have your eye on?? Be sure and check out her other styles, including a modern spin on the FANNY PACK!
April Showers
The seasons in New England can really take a toll on us... bouncing from hot days, to cold days and torrential downpours, to cloudless skies and back again. So what is one necessity in every New Englanders wardrobe? Spring rain shoes, be it rubber ballet flats or bright boots. These powder blue Hunters would certainly help take the edge off of a stormy spring day, don't you think?

At least we can rest in knowing that "April showers bring May flowers"! Hopefully. ;)
Saturday Purseday!
When I discovered that Kate Spade was launching her new brand, Saturday, I felt like I was going to hyperventilate. Truly. Though I'm not nearly as obsessed with this much more casual, less "girly" line, their "Design your own Weekender" shop is BRILLIANT. Yes, from the base to the pockets, the straps to the handles... you get to customize in whatever way your little heart desires!
{via}
Seriously, check it out. If you're like me, it will suck you in for hours looking at the endless combinations AND toying with the idea of adding a monogram on top of it all! Gah!
Bring on the heat
Well ladies and gents, Tuesday Shoesday is upon us and although spring is still fighting its way in, we've got sandals on the mind. Why, you ask? Well tomorrow night, my man and I head to a much warmer state {Arizona} to celebrate the wedding of one of his best childhood buds. Consequently I'm in panic mode, pulling out clothing appropriate for 90 degree weather... keeping in mind that it's been months since my last pedicure and my entire body is a lovely shade of bright white. While I bathe in sunless tanner, I couldn't resist sharing the Jack Rogers jelly sandals that I've been eyeing. Yes, the navajos return in their glorious bright sassiness, but this year I am LOVING the georgica style!

Tell me, are YOU ready for sandal weather? Which style would you go for?
The art of the knot
There's nothing quite like a man dressed to the nines & donning a classic tie. Admittedly, I never thought I'd be the gal attracted to a daily-suit-wearing guy, but my man has proven me wrong! While I thought tying ties was something all men are basically born knowing how to do, I realized the other day {as I found out that my guy ties all of his co-workers ties} that is just not the case. The art of the knot was underestimated and for that, I feel bad. So ladies, I urge you: if your man doesn't know how to tie a tie, take a look at this adorable little chart of basic knots and school him. :)

Happy weekending!!
It's Tieks Tuesday!
We've heard the buzz for awhile now but in all honesty didn't REALLY catch on to the fabulousness of Tieks until our friend Jillian from Cornflake Dreams was oohing and aahing over them. Naturally after spending entirely WAY TOO LONG on their site, reading reviews, seeing adorable photos, perusing colors... we're intrigued and in love. Not only are they super cute, but they're also said to be ridiculously comfy and they're also conveniently portable {case and point below}. Tieks have earned a spot on our "must have" list for sure.
