Married!

I'm BACK, I'm a Mrs. and I couldn't be more excited!! I can't wait to share more details about the wedding and the adventures of the honeymoon... but for today while I'm beaming and giddy to be back, I must play catch up!

I hope you all have been well! I've missed you!!!

Coffee Talk

One thing I miss dearly about living in Seattle is the coffee culture. There is nothing like kicking off the week with the smell of roasted beans & some strong brew. The totally nerdy side of me loves this artsy photo showing the different stages of coffee. I figured it's only appropriate for a Monday. :)

Have a fabulous start to your week!

Weekend Inspiration

It's been an exciting week and I hope yours has been equally as wonderful as mine! This weekend, let's be 100% devoted to finding inspiration through relaxing and re-charging, shall we?

Turn up those tunes

Make a new playlist or Spotify station with songs that inspire and relax. I don't know about you, but whenever I carve out time to just chill and listen to music, I feel all sorts of refreshed. And obviously I advocate for this to be done while sipping coffee... or tea if that's your thing. :)

{via}

Wander

Go for a walk and try to make it during sunrise or sunset to see the world illuminated in a light that we rarely make time to appreciate. It even SOUNDS refreshing, don't you think? Just do it, you know you want to!

{via}

Take in a nice view

In my case, it will be something beachy but wherever you're at whether surrounded by mountains, a lake or in the middle of a booming city, seek out a beautiful spot and spend some time in silence. No looking at instagram or Facebook, OK? Just breathe and relax...

Happy weekending!

It's time to celebrate

Well friends, today kicks off wedding weekend for Dan and I! We're a little jet lagged but we are getting so pumped for our a weekend of celebrating with close friends and family. I can hardly believe it's already here!! Whatever you're up to this weekend, join in our celebration by popping some bubbly!

{via}

 I think champagne is like liquid glitter- it makes everything just a touch more fun! Happy weekending!

Weekend Inspiration

The Mercedes-Benz fashion week just wrapped up yesterday in New York so naturally we're feeling inspired be more fashionable and try out some new trends. Have you been keeping up with the shows? This weekend's inspiration is devoted to all things fashion.

Get gussied up

Get fancy and go run errands! Why?? Well, why not?! You'll feel a little sassier, hold your head up higher and still get a lot done... it's a win/win situation here, ladies!

{via}

Try a new hue

If you're like me, you likely gravitate to the same set of colors for your wardrobe. This weekend, why not head out shopping with the intention of thinking outside of the box & getting away from your comfort zone?! What color will you try?

{via}

Fancy fingers

You've been hiding under a rock if you haven't noticed the recent trend with manis and pedis. If you've tried out this trend, what is your favorite combo? Though I never would have thought of this on my own, I admit to be a little intrigued by this mixing of colors and patterns on each nail!! Would you ever rock this?

{via}

Have a very fashionable weekend!

Weekend inspiration

This weekend is all about getting stuff done and relaxing! After spending last weekend moving and the evenings of this week unpacking, I am excited to have some days to nest, rest and get caught up on some more wedding to-do's. What do you have planned this weekend?

Get fresh flowers!

Adding fresh flowers to any space brightens my mood and adds a sweet smell that is OH SO NEEDED to cover up the fresh paint smell in our new place. You better believe that I'm excited to grab some blooms to keep me company for the weekend!

{via}

Make breakfast

My mind has been stuck on these home made pop tarts ever since I saw them on Pinterest. While I can't wait to break in some of my new kitchen toys, I think this is the perfect first project!

{via}

Rock some bling!

This weekend I'm devoting time to finalizing my wedding day jewelry. I'm ridiculously excited to score some new bling that can be worn for months & years after the big day... and these baubles from JCrew seem pretty darn promising!

Happy weekending!!

Happy Friday

It's about time Friday rolled around again! These days my weekends are filled with wedding errands, baby shower planning & packing to move into my new apartment that I'll eventually share with my man once we're married. Needless to say, as much as I love the weekdays filled with beautiful paper and the sweetest clients EVER ... I will treasure these next 2 days in a very special way. ;) So here's to weekend excitement!!

What do you have up your sleeves for the weekend?

Weekend Inspiration

Another week gone by and MAN, that one flew!! I'm especially excited for this weekend where I'll be spending the next few days relaxing on the Cape with some of my closest Boston based lady friends!! Such a fabulous way to celebrate my "farewell to single status". While much of the weekend is a surprise, I've been told we'll be doing some of the following... feel free to jump on board and get inspired by these celebratory ideas :)

'don those sun hats!

You better believe that feet will be in the sand and the sun will be kissing our bodies! That's no reason to get carried away however, so like any responsible bride-to-be, I'll be toting sunscreen and a floppy hat. While I'm in desperate need of a tan, there's no need for burning or sunspots!

{via}

Enjoy an icy treat

One of my sweet bridesmaids has been busy perfecting recipes for boozy popsicles. Yea, she's pretty awesome :) A fun way to cool down and simultaneously enjoy some of our favorite summer cocktail flavors! Don't these Blood Orange Margarita pops look incredible?! Yum!

{via}

Bust out a beach ball

Judge all you want, but this looks SO FUN and summer will be over before we know it. Yes, things are going to get silly this weekend and if all goes according to plan, our faces will hurt from laughing. That is the best feeling!!!

Happy weekending!!

Weekend inspiration

This weekend my man is headed off on his bachelor party {number 1 of 2} so I'm especially looking forward to some long overdue girl time! While trying to distract myself from missing that hunk all weekend, this is what will be keeping me busy:

Make it pink!

Saturday night most of the ladies whose hubbys are away celebrating are getting together for an old fashioned girls night in. Yea, we're talking painting nails, watching chick flicks and of course... snacking! I figured, while we're at it making popcorn, we may as well add an extra fun touch to it and make it pink!

{via}

Make a Bauble

Back in the day when I was a little one, our girls nights consisted of craft parties. In the spirit of nostalgia, I'm kind of loving the idea of birthing something beautiful one of these evenings! This Bauble Necklace DIY from Style Me Pretty Home is just calling my name!

{via}

Get organized

Life has been so busy lately, staying organized has fallen to a bottom priority. As I'm anticipating a big move in a few weeks, I am going to take this opportunity to purge, get things sorted and perhaps even start packing? Dare I?!? Check out these super cute ideas, 101 ways to get Pretty Organized if you're in need of a summer cleaning too!

Color Crush: pink + gold + peach

I'm totally digging soft color palettes right now and truth be told, it still baffles me that I would be the one incorporating the color blush into my wedding. Being the only girl with 2 older brothers, I desperately tried to fight the stereotype that pink should be my favorite color. I was so adamant about it that by the end of my time in elementary school, I hated the color. Oh how things have changed, my friends. I'm eager to embrace all things soft and romantic so let's kick off this week with some gorgeous warm hues- highlighting the summery palette of pink + gold + peach. Enjoy!

Weekend Inspiration

What do you have up your sleeves for weekend plans? Whatever it is, I hope you make room to do something that inspires you...

Summer Soup

This flavor combo of chilled cucumber and avocado soup sounds so refreshing for a warm evening. Love this super easy recipe and you better believe I'm ready to give it a go this weekend... a little un-rushed time in the kitchen sounds perfectly relaxing & inspiring to me!!

{via}

A sentimental DIY

A little art project always stirs some inspiration within me. As a bride to be, I'm totally loving this DIY from Nalle's House. What a simple and timeless piece to hang on our walls!! Is it too soon to paint the 09-22-13 to have it ready and waiting?!

{via}

Get your nose in a book

Reading {at the beach, in the yard or anywhere else} is my prime time to relax. You better believe I plan to catch up on one of the FOUR books I'm in the middle of... that's what weekends are for, right? This time is dedicated to the book that we're digging into for pre-marriage counseling called, Preparing for Marriage. I'll let you know how I like it! What books are you relaxing with this summer?

Another week has passed- is it just me or is this summer completely FLYING by? What are your weekend plans, friends? If you're looking for something fun & new to do, check out some of these ideas:

Try a new summer 'do

With all of this hot weather {and humidity} it's so tempting to default to the sock bun. If you're in the same boat as us, you're probably growing restless of this go-to style like we are. This weekend, join us in trying out one of these new summer styles

When life gives you lemons

Make something fabulous and refreshing out of them! Regardless of if your week was long & strenuous or if you've been relaxing on vacay, try some of these fancy lemonade recipes from Glitter Guide to freshen things up! This recipe for rosemary lemonade is making my mouth water!!

Make something pretty

If you'll be hiding from the heat inside, take advantage of the opportunity to make something fun! We're loving this DIY from the SMP at Home blog. SUPER cute and SO simple!

Weekend inspiration

Happy friday, friends!! What do you have planned this weekend? I'm looking forward to a weekend at home sanwiched between New York {last weekend} and Seattle {next weekend}. It's high some for some beach time... and I don't care what form that comes in. This girl is ready to relax alongside the water with book in hand...

{via}

Be on the water...

{via}

It's been way too long since I've been sailing and to say I'm craving it is an understatement! But at this point, I'm also game to get  in that water and go for a refreshing dip. A little crazy perhaps, but sometimes the feeling of the warm sun soaking into your skin after being in cold water makes it all worth it. :)

{via}

Sooo now that you know what I'm up to this weekend, it's your turn!!

Sweet, sweet caffeine!

Monday is upon us once again and I don't know about you, but I'm ready to carpe diem every single day of this week! Naturally, we have to start things off with a healthy serving of coffee to kick start the week. This photo reminds me of the cafes in Seattle, where foam art {an art medium that is far too overlooked in my opinion} is a regular occurrence.

{via}

I hope your week is off to a lovely, energized start! Hope to see you tomorrow!!

Weekend inspiration

We're all sunkissed and relaxed after yesterday's festivities! How was your 4th? Hopefully you're not working too hard today as you head into the weekend ;) Here's a little inspiration to get you going!!

Embrace tourism

The man and I are heading out of Boston this weekend to meet up with some friend in New York! Since it's their first time visiting the city, we get to play tourist as well and I couldn't be more excited. Whether you're headed out of town or staying in your 'hood for the weekend, be a tourist! Take lots of pictures, visit museums and soak up the intricacies of wherever you're at.

{via}

Get some stunna shades

Sunglasses are a daily necessity for summers in New England and I'm currently looking to spice up my collection. Some of these new styles by Kate are catching my eye but I'm also kind of craving some traditional Ray Bans! Any suggestions?!

{via}

Impromptu picnic

In light of our trip to NYC, I'm getting my hopes up for a picnic in Central Park. What could be a better way to enjoy a beautiful summer day?!

 Happy weekending!

Weekend Inspiration

It's FRIDAY!! Here's what is on the agenda for our weekend... what are you up to?!

Get a bold & funky manicure

Celebrate the weekend by getting a manicure with a color that you've never had... something outside the box. My color of choice will probably be some shade of mint or another variation of green, however these blue nails are pretty fun!!

{via}

Flea merket frenzy

I've been waiting for the perfect weather and perfect weekend to hit up the SOWA market... my first trip of the season. This is a perfect warm- weather activity and simply the thought of strolling, looking at antiques and picking up fresh produce is making me giddy!!

{via}

Add some sparkle

Whether you get crafty, add some glitter to your eyelids or pucker or don some sparkly attire, spice things up with a little extra sparkle. Not only will this lift your mood, but it will likely make those around you smile too!!

Happy weekending!!

Bringing Pantone home

Those of us who are design nerds have a deep appreciation for Pantone- a universal color coding system. Not only are their little swatch chips cute and precisely the shade that we're looking for {there are thousands of colors, all with different undertones... it's glorious!} but they have done such a fabulous job at branding that years ago Pantone came out with accessories such as mugs & journals. Today friends, we celebrate that they came out with a home line!! Yes, it's available at jcp of all places but their stuff is so cute and colorful. Perhaps I'm biased but, let me know what you think:

{via}

{via}

{via}

Thank you to the dear friend of Paper Moss who brought this to our attention!!! This is so friggin exciting!! If you share in our excitement, please share with us which Pantone you'd like to see more of in your home!

Weekend inspiration

The weekend is upon us once again! After a whirlwind trip to Seattle for wedding planning, I've been getting cozied up in our new office and continuing to nest. Moving is always such a process!! This weekend is devoted to re-charging and getting caught up on "life". But here are some ways that we're going to make this weekend a little more fun:

Get hydrated

Everyone knows that you feel better, more energetic when hydrated. Try infusing fruit into your water to make it a little more exciting. I'm a huge fan of cucumber water, but also LOVE pineapple and watermelon flavored water too!

{via}

Get tied up

Lately I've been throwing my hair back in a messy pony or a bun, which is not very exciting, but is oh-so-practical when things get busy. Incorporating a scarf is such a fun way to add some sass to an otherwise ordinary 'do... give it a go!!

{via}

Don't forget your pops

Sunday is Father's day so don't forget to snag a fun card for dear old dad! We're obsessing over this one from Sycamore Street Press... well, for obvious reasons!
