Perfectly Preppy

Just the other day when Emily & I were doing a site visit at the Ocean House, we were perusing some of the local shops and were thrilled to see a fabulous selection of Tipsy Skipper clutches! If you're not on board with this adorable New England based company, it's time to catch up and add a preppy, nautical Captain Morgan Clutch to your wardrobe!

I should mention-  Tipsy Skipper doesn't stop at clutches. They have adorably bright skimmers & flip flops... but that's for another day. Today on this Purseday, we rejoice over the sassy little clutch. A fun idea for bridesmaids gifts, perhaps?

Bright & Fendi

Since we're hesitant to fully abandon summer fashion and delve into fall, we're majorly focusing on transitional pieces. This colorful Fendi bag would be a prime example {if it weren't sold out}... the combination of sleek, classic off white leather and bright metal embellishments honor the upcoming fall trend without screaming "DARKNESS!!!". You know what we mean.

Happy Thursday Purseday! Today we must confess that we've been dreaming about this perfectly woven Miu Miu bag. Made of soft black and white calf leather, paired with a tortoise logo plate and gold hardware... every detail just exudes luxury! It's almost irresistible, if only the price tag {$1960} was a little more friendly...

When it comes to metaling in the Olympics, gold is obviously what everyone is aiming for, but let's be honest, it must be pretty stinkin' fabulous to take home a silver, right? Citrus Chic

When it comes to handbags, it's next to impossible to have too many. Riiiiight? :) Well, just in case you're in the market for a new bag, you have GOT to check out Brahmin. After stumbling upon & drooling over their site a couple of months ago, my love for them has only grown stronger, proving to be as durable as the beautiful leather these bags are made of. The leather is beautiful, by the way, and overtook my senses upon stepping into their boutique in Newport, RI. Right now, we're obsessing over their Citrus Chic collection, but while you're checking them out, don't stop there... they've got a purse for every color, texture, pattern and occasion!

Happy Thursday, lovelies! Is it just me or is this week FLYING by? Tuesday's shoesday pick reminded us of this Chanel Nesting Doll purse that we saw long ago, so naturally, why stop at one Matroyshka post when they're so stinkin' cute? We can't help but wonder what prompted Christian Louboutin to design this little purse for Chanel's 2009 fall collection...

Who'd have thought that of all of the beautiful Marni bags in existance, we'd be captivated by this one...?

Truly, it makes us smile that Marni supports children with the project “Children’s Imaginary World”. Though it's a bit different than what we'd usually be toting, one side of this bag features a drawing from a child in an underprivileged community in South America and/or East Asia. This is just one bag in their collection, of which the proceeds benefit humanitarian programs in these communities.

Makes it a little easier to justify spending $300 on a tote bag, doesn't it?

The perfect cross body bag

There's nothing better than finding the perfect cross body bag, especially with all of the traipsing around that summer entails. While we've always had a weakness for Elliot Lucca's beautiful signature woven look, these bright leather beauties are just calling our name! Our favorite part? The Demi II has a convertible strap so you can rock it as a cross body, a shorter strapped shoulder bag or even a clutch. Oh and did we mention that it's only $78?!

Oh hey there! How was your holiday? While I {Anna} am hanging out on the west coast for a little holiday/ vacation/ wedding celebration combo, I'm seriously missing the preppy New England style. Don't get me wrong, the west coast has it's own sweet charm, but there's just something about a seersucker dress that just screams New England!!! While hopping around on Viva Luxury, one of our favorite style blogs the other day, we ran across this adorable handbag from none other than Urban Outfitters! Who'd have thought? We're loving the pop of neon and pastel purple on a classic navy blue... amazing contract here, don't you agree? And the tortoise shell, gold & leather chain?! We're dying over this Mixed Media Bag... ok, and over those shoes!!!

The man we've loved for so many years because of his breathtaking shoes has done it once again... Christian Louboutin. This color blocked leather tote,  Sybil, caught our eye with clean lines, shiny gold hardware and some of our all time favorite colors! We love those signature red soles and we equally have fallen for the signature red wristlet that accompanies this tote.

Viva Luxury: raspberry & mint

Awhile back, we had to force ourselves to stop buying black things as an attempt to brighten up the wardrobe... sad, I know. That seems like a lifetime ago now, and we're excited to say that we just can't get enough bright colors these days! Have you been through something similar? Please say you understand!!! :) Anyway, Annabelle from Viva Luxury has been inspiring us left and right to embrace our love for brightness this season, so when we spotted this sweet compliment of raspberry & mint, we couldn't resist sharing. Thursday purseday- Cinco de Mayo

It's Tres de Mayo and you know what that means... Cinco de Mayo is in just a couple of days! Sadly, this Saturday is also shared with the Kentucky Derby. This means one of two things: the derby will be over-looked OR we'll be eating enchiladas and drinking margs while watching the horse races. Probably the former will happen, but I have high hopes for the latter. What do you have planned? We felt it only appropriate to choose a Cinco de Mayo inspired handbag for today... and low and behold this one from Anthropologie was too perfect to pass up!

Thursday Purseday: meet June

Today we are staying true to the season and our LOVE of vibrant colors with our our Purseday pick. Not only do I {Anna} have a massive obsession with Hobo brand leather goods, but this purse named June, especially caught my eye- being slightly retro and a carrying a whole lot of sass! Truth be told, every time I see a Hobo wallet, clutch or purse, I just can't help looking inside. WHY? Because they line their goods with the prettiest fabrics! Florals, stripes, polkadots, metallic linen... yes, it's basically the best idea ever.
