Easter is one of our absolute favorite holidays and we couldn't be more excited that it's coming up this weekend. After all of the festive candy we've been snacking on, it's about time to curb the chocolate intake!! ;) Wishing you a happy Easter, wherever and however you are celebrating!!
It's happening...
Tomorrow is Valentines Day and while for some this brings butterflies, for others this brings a tinge of pain at the anticipation. I was reading an article the other day that stated that Valentines Day is the most loved and most hated holiday. Goodness, I have been on both sides of the spectrum and feel compelled to rant a little bit in attempt to get a healthy dose of perspective. :)
If you have a special date planned with your significant other, be excited! Embrace it!! But remember that tomorrow really isn't anything other than a Hallmark holiday. What you do on Valentines Day doesn't necessarily define your relationship... it's the other 364 days that truly matter. Make those days count. And for those dreading the day all together, I completely understand. It's a little ridiculous how much focus is put on the holiday being about romantic love. If you're recently divorced or going through a break up, if your significant other is deployed or if you're just plain TIRED of waiting for the *right* one to come along (I've been there!), please remember that you are still so incredibly deeply loved. In either scenario, we shouldn't depend on one other person for validation of our importance, our worth is much bigger than that! So regardless of which boat you're in this year, we want to challenge you to celebrate EVERYONE in your life that you love. Friends, parents, grandparents, siblings, roommates. Tell them how much they mean to you & celebrate the ways they have blessed you!!
I love this gorgeous quote designed by Saffron Avenue for Lark & Linen!! Check out the other cute stationery on the Saffron Avenue shop!!
Gearing up for V-Day
We're especially excited for Valentines Day this year. Perhaps it's because of all of the snow that we're clinging to that special day for something to look forward to? Maybe it's because everything having to do with it comes in shades of bright red, pink and {now} glittery golds, which all happen to be very happy colors if you ask us. :) Valentines week is here and here is a round up of festive & fun ideas!
Write some love notes to friends, family and your significant other so they know how much you appreciate them!
ake some sweet treats! Try a festive spin on your favorite cookie recipe or if you're really up for a challenge, try your hand at some French macarons like these!!
This conversation heart balloon DIY is not only super cute, but you can customize a message… get creative!
You can never have too many candles and this adorable ombre DIY would make a sweet gift or a great addition to any room!!
Have a fabulous Monday, friends!!!
Playlist: Merry & Bright
It's the last official weekend before Christmas! How are you fairing?! We still have a million things to do and are determined not to spend the remainder of this festive season stressed out of our minds. Here's a little playlist that we put together to help things stay merry & bright in the midst of the madness. :) Just click the play button and get ready for some merriment!
Happy weekending, loves!
This calls for Bubbly
Happy Friday! I'm especially excited for this weekend, since my man and I are attending the first holiday party of the season tonight! But the fun doesn't stop there. We're also having a few of our close friends over on Saturday for some festivities & bubbly. Are you planning to drop by... or host any holiday soirees?! Consider adding this brilliant & beautiful drink to the menu. I love the idea to freeze the cranberry wands the night before, so they're ready to keep the glasses of sparkling wine cold while people sip & mingle!
The season of non-stop celebrations starts.... NOW!
Anticipating Thanksgiving
One of my favorite Thanksgiving traditions is going around the table and stating what we're most thankful for. Admittedly it's a little cheesy and sort of cliché, but it is so easy to lose sight of giving thanks in the midst of football, food prep and catching up with friends & family. If you love this tradition too {or want to give it a try this year} we designed some festive watercolor printables that you can cut up and pass out to start getting people in the TRUE Thanksgiving spirit.
Printable is available in both eggplant {shown} and burnt orange! Enjoy AND happy planning!!

National Donut Day!
As a little girl, there was nothing better than scoring a pink, frosted donut covered with sprinkles. It's a good go-to. Well in the past few years, donuts have become the new "cupcake" and we're LOVING all of the specialty shops that feature creative flavor combos. Voodoo Donuts in Portland, Oregon happens to be my favorite spot. If you ever have the chance, PLEASE go there and try their crazy flavors! In celebration of this national holiday, we put together a round of delicious recipes that we're dying to try making at home:
Recipes are in order of appearance, from left to right: French Breakfast Donuts | Strawberry Shortcake | Devils Food | Rock Candy | Vermont Maple
If you're pumped to celebrate and want to do so by NOT baking, here are 6 places that are handing out free donuts today! Have a fabulous weekend, friends!
BBQ, freedom and giving thanks
Friends, it's the 3-day weekend we've been waiting for! Whatever you have planned for today, don't forget to take some moments to acknowledge the brave men and women who died while serving in the armed forces. How amazing it is to live in a free country!
Now go get your barbecue on! ;)
Marathon musings
Today is Boston's infamous Marathon Monday. I can't help but to have a heavy heart with memories of last year's marathon and the way it shaped our city. Banding together, there is an air of excitement & empowerment for the thousands that have come to run and support their loved ones. Seeing the runners board busses and head to the starting line at the Common this morning, brought tears to my eyes with the thought of how challenging it's been to reconcile the evil that affected us so profoundly- and with that, the hard work of many to sort through grief, to forgive, to recover, to continue training despite the memories and to persevere. Yep, we're feeling incredibly inspired by our city today and we have every reason to be-BOSTON STRONG!
Happy Easter
It's not just any old Friday- today is GOOD Friday! As we jump into the holiday weekend, the ladies of Paper Moss wanted to wish you a fabulous Easter!

Planning for tomorrow
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!! We truly hope that regardless of your relationship status, today you can celebrate the most important people in your life. Friends, family, those co-workers that make your days bearable, and so on. There is much to be celebrated and one of my favorite ways to celebrate is with food!! Although I'm excited for a nice dinner & a relaxing night, I'm already thinking about brunch tomorrow. Don't these festive fixings look divine?! Regardless of if you'll be hanging with your best friend, boy friend or roommates, why not wake up tomorrow and have a nice long, indulgent brunch? These recipes for cranberry buttermilk pancakes and a "Pimosa" {pomegranate mimosa} seem like the perfect pair!!
Happy V-Day! xoxo
Wishing you...
The happiest holidays yet! The Paper Moss ladies are fleeing Massachusetts for some celebrating, quality time with family and some much needed relaxation. We'll be back in 2014 with lots of fun & shenanigans to share :) In the meantime, here's our little holiday card for you!
Sending love and hugs to you! See you next year!!
Evening Style.
Did you see what I did there? So puny, I know. ;) My sisters have been asking me what I am planning to wear on Christmas Eve- we always go to my Nana's for gift exchanges, yummy food, and usually a baby fix. Big families means new kids every year! For those of you who have them know what I am talking about. As for an outfit, I hadn't thought of it until they mentioned it this weekend! Here two of my favorite options so far. Many thanks to J.Crew and BaubleBar for always having a girl's back.
Have a very Merry Christmas!!
For Him: A Gift Guide
Another Monday in December, another gift guide here! This one was definitely discussed in the office- boys are harder to buy for! At least I think so- there just seems to be less out there, and the really cool things (like a leather flask or new wallet) are just so pricey! We have put together a little guide for the men in your life that is affordable and still something he will love. And you will too! ;)
Paper Moss Gift Guide!
Don't forget!
The ladies of Paper Moss wish you a day full of good food, lots of laughing and quality time! Happy Thanksgiving… and don't forget to count your blessings!
Holiday Cocktails!
Thanksgiving is officially this week! I can't believe how fast time goes- real talk. You can believe that I will be enjoying some tasty things this Thanksgiving. And probably making some tasty cocktails. ;) I definitely want to try out the Pomegranate Gin Fizz, and the Rosemary Infused Cocktail. I am a sucker for anything savory. What are you suggestions for cocktails? We are listening!
