A couple of weeks ago, we donned our fanciest winter ensembles and headed over to the annual release party for the Bliss Celebrations Guide! As per usual, the event was over the top and impressive in every way. A perfect way to set the tone for their killer 2015 issue!! Along with some stunning real weddings and inspiration shoots galore, there was plenty of color crushing throughout the pages. Take a peek at some of the color trends for 2015... and some of our pretty stationery that was featured!!!

Nautical Elegance At It's Best

It's the first official Monday of the spring season, so let's kick off the week with one of our latest nautical invitation suites! Everything about these designs makes us dream of warmer days & romantic beach-side weddings! What do you think of the navy ink & rose gold foil pairing?!

Opening Night

Let's kick off this week by introducing another new design that we added to The Collection!!! Meet Opening Night... 

These designs will look especially killer in letterpress printing... can you imagine the fun texture from all the little dot impressions?! Depending on which script font you choose, this design is versatile enough for a modern wedding, a retro style, an Indian fusion wedding and so on. The script font can take it in so many directions!

Vintage Lift Tickets

The weekend is here!! Do you have any fun plans yet? Confession- I've been counting down the days until this weekend... probably for the last month. My man and I are meeting some friends in Colorado for a ski weekend. Not only have I never been to Colorado {Emily's homeland} but I haven't skied anywhere other than New England! I'm excited to hit the slopes and take in the beautiful surroundings. 

In anticipation, I wanted to share some escort cards that we designed for a Vermont wedding this past winter...

Painted Charm

With loads of whimsical inspiration, we designed Painted Charm. This new save the date set & matching invitation suite is part of our ready to order line, The Collection. We're super excited to finally bring it out in the open for all to see, in all of it's ethereal beauty!! 

For those who don't know, all of the invitation suites in The Collection include a specialty paper envelope liner! We think this adds the perfect touch of elegance!

Due to the nature of printing, this design is only available in flat print. We'll be unveiling more new designs in the days to come!!!

Modern & elegant custom invitations

Happy Monday, friends! What fights the winter blues better than setting your sights on beautiful things and sparking creativity?! We've been swooning over these photos that Erin McGinn snapped of one of our custom invitation suites from last fall! Crisp navy, soft white and a touch of silver letterpress on a midnight blue RSVP envelope all work together make this suite pop. We love the mixing of fonts paired with unique frames and the subtle geometric & floral pattern!! What do you think??

The difference a font can make

We're still incredibly giddy about the recent release of The Collection, our new ready to order line! One of my favorite parts about the ordering process is how much designs can take on their own style based on the ink color and the script font choice. Have you seen our Formal Calligraphy suite?

This is my absolute favorite example of what a difference a font can make. Being able to choose from 48 different fonts {many of which were created from hand calligraphy} gives a plethora of different looks for this suite. For instance...

I'm holding my breath for the moment someone orders this suite letterpress printed in mint, light blue or sage ink!! Can you imagine the soft elegance?!

Getting Vintage

We often meet with couples who want to have a unique & playful Save the Date. If you're not keen on going the card + envelope route, one of our all time favorite things is incorporating a vintage postcard, whether from the venue itself (if it's old enough) or from the city/ state that the wedding is taking place. Ali & Will's vintage Ocean House postcard Save the Date achieved the playful elegance they were aiming for! We popped these postcards in clear plastic mailer sleeves to protect against the weather and add a chic finish! What do you think?

Inspired by the warm tones of blush, white, taupe and gold, we put together this board to showcase one of our new designs from The Collection. Our "Classic with a Twist" suite can be customized with wording, fonts, ink & envelope liner colors and printing method. We love how elegant & versatile it is!!

We're hooked

Happy Friday to you! Today we wanted to spotlight a little 2-color letterpress number that we designed for now newlyweds, Rachel & Colin. They wanted to set the tone for a laid back seaside wedding. We were charged to stay away from anchors, sail boats & ropes... while we love drawing inspiration from ALL of those, landing on their fish hook monogram was the perfect balance. We hope you enjoy!

Retro Geometric Wedding Inspiration

Happy Monday, friends! We hope that you had a great weekend and a FABULOUS Thanksgiving! Can you believe that we're fully into the holiday season?! Hopefully you were able to get some relaxation in too… it's a slippery slope into holiday madness from here on out.

Let's take a minute to diverge from thinking about the holidays. For those of you who are planning weddings in 2015, we hope that you have taken a look though our new Ready to Order line, The Collection. Anticipating Thanksgiving

One of my favorite Thanksgiving traditions is going around the table and stating what we're most thankful for. Admittedly it's a little cheesy and sort of cliché, but it is so easy to lose sight of giving thanks in the midst of football, food prep and catching up with friends & family. If you love this tradition too {or want to give it a try this year} we designed some festive watercolor printables that you can cut up and pass out to start getting people in the TRUE Thanksgiving spirit.

Pretty Paper: Hilary & Sean

We're convinced that stripes will never go out of style. We've loved them for years and we continue to get excited over every opportunity we get to incorporate this motif into custom stationery. While using playful fonts, Hilary & Sean's save the date maintained a clean, preppy look with a striped frame paired with the crest of the country club where the wedding would take place. My favorite part however, is that white foil stamped return address on the blue envelope!!

We feel like it's borderline crazy to be taking about holiday cards with such vigor, but guys, the holidays are sneaking up on us!! Pretty Paper: Tiffany & Alan

We recently had a batch of our recent Save the Dates and invitation suites photographed by the lovely & talented Erin McGinn Photography! Words can't even describe how excited we are to share some of our recent work with you all and we're kicking it off today. You probably know how much we love mixing fonts so designing a text heavy, modern Save the Date was a blast to work on. Tiffany & Alan wanted to keep a neutral palette and we're just in love with the rich charcoal & natural paper combination!

We'll share their invitation suite soon too, but want to hold off until after their big day... which is this weekend! Congrats to Tiffany & Alan!!!

Pumpkins inspired by foil printing

We have had a blast using hot foil stamping on several projects this season, allowing us to add an extra pop of metallic to any stationery suite. It's that perfect pop of glam! Like we mentioned on Wednesday, we're completely in love with these shimmery colors... and so we wanted to do a festive DIY in the office to unleash some creativity. Paint brushes in hand, we mixed up some copper and gold paint and went to town on these little white pumpkins.

Truth be told, painting these little white pumpkins was harder than I thought! Yes, that's my inner-perfectionist speaking... but it was fun none the less. We just couldn't resist pulling together some letterpress suites and a copper plate (used for foil printing) that we had laying around the office.

We were SO excited to design & print an all gold foil suite for a September wedding, shown below. Unfortunately our humble little photos do not do justice for this glamorous suite but we'll be sure to share the professional photos when we get them back!

Pretty Paper: Christa & Luke

We can't possibly think of a better way to spend a Wednesday, than to share some fun letterpress stationery. Christa and Luke's Gatsby inspired invitation suite goes down in the books as one of our all time faves. Not only are we in love with the art deco designs, but there are so many special details that make this suite even more stunning. With shimmery silver letterpress ink as a base, we accented the suite with blush paper backings & a blush RSVP envelope and added pops of color with raspberry painted edges & custom postage. One of my personal favorite elements however, is the killer envelope liner, merging the blush & raspberry with a vintage pattern to tie everything together!! Enjoy!

Font love Friday!

Sometimes short weeks feel like the longest ones, don't you think? I'm particularly happy that Friday is here MAINLY because I'm getting the nasty cold that's going around.
