All for now...!

Monograms Galore

One of the most exciting items that can be added to a wedding invite suite is a custom monogram. I thought I would share a few of my favorites... (some have stories and others just look pretty cool .) Enjoy!

(Oh, and Happy New Year!)

Louisa and Frank are nature lovers getting married on a farm in lush Georgia. The bird on the left is meant to represent her and the trout on the right (both are avid fly fishers) for him.

The inspiration for this monogram came from the engagement ring. Adam had a custom band designed to have the Texas star on the side since his bride, Stacy, was originally from Waco...!

Rachel and Adam got married in beautiful San Diego, CA. The little 'beach shack' seen in this monogram is an actual representation of a famous one on the beaches in San Diego. The groom loved to surf so we had to squeeze a surf board in there...)

A Bahama Beach Wedding is not complete without a palm tree and the bride's favorite shells! View their wedding pix by Laura Ashbrook Photography.

How can you not fall in love with this little bird? Holly and Greg's style was perfect to incorporate a bird and swirls.

Paisley. Classic. Unique. Formal. Kristen and Brian's monogram was a detailed version of a paisley pattern that the bride loved.

Loving Fall.

Fall: my favorite time of year... crisp air, holiday drinks at Starbucks, and gorgeous colors in the trees. Below are some recent weddings that I wanted to share, all of which had a great sense of style and were fabulous to work with! :) Congrats to all of you!

Ali & Chris Engagement Shoot

I can't help myself... I have to post some photos that I've been working closely with for a save the date postcard. Their photographer, Kate Headley, has an artistic style that was perfect for the city shoot that Ali & Chris desired. The three of them hit the streets of DC and Georgetown University (where the two met many moons ago) for a fantastic, vintage-inspired photo shoot. I have to admit - it did make me want to run out and buy Hunter rain boots so I could some how snag a pic like theirs, ha! Be sure to check out more work by Kate at www.kateheadleyphotography.com. I don't know about you, but looking at fun photos for me is like being a kid again in a candy store...

Enjoy*

Presenting....Mr. & Mrs. Kevin Steenberge!

I had the honor of attending Kevin and Hillary's wedding this past weekend in beautiful Bar Harbor, Maine. As a fan of New England in general, you can imagine my excitement to do a navy and pink invite suite - complete with a lobster (which was served at the wedding-yum!) and pinstripe belly band... Congrats you two!

Some Classic Elegance...

Just wanted to share Mary & Gary's invite suite that has recently been added to the website. As you can see, their style was very traditional, but modestly personalized with a small, artistic butterfly. The inspiration for the butterfly developed during our first meeting when the groom shared that after years of dating, he still gets butterflies when he sees her.

(Now everyone say "Awww...")

But seriously, a great couple who appreciated the art of letterpress and gorgeous colors and paper.

Congrats to Mary & Gary!

Sort-of-4th

Okay... even though it wasn't for a Fourth of July Party, I couldn't let this holiday slip by without posting something that's red, white & blue. In celebration of their engagement, Jenny and Josh had a country-club party thrown by the grooms family. Super modern and colorful, these letterpress invites turned out great! (Love the little heart that reappears on the envelop flap...)

Happy 4th Everyone!!

Stacy and Adam's Wedding ~ Waco, Texas

Working with Stacy and Adam was nothing short of amazing.... As a result, we became great friends and I was honored to be invited to share in their special day! The wedding was in Waco, Texas on a beautiful plantation. The attention to detail and creative ideas that the bride and her planner came up with are to die for! Stacy and Adam's monogram was developed off of her custom-designed engagement ring. On the side, the ring incorporates the Texas star and ornamentation which is mimicked on her monogram, surrounding their initials and wedding location. As for the invitation suite, little did the groom know that the swirls on their invite were inspired from the delicate swirls on her wedding gown. The brides colors, indigo blue and silver, were a perfect match for a metallic paper, silver envelope, and pop of blue around the invite.

Enjoy these beautiful pictures that she has so graciously shared with us! Congrats again to Mr. and Mrs. Adam Perry! *photos by Rebecca Cash of Captivating Photography.
