Party in the park

After a long & busy week, I {Anna} am just bursting with excitement over a birthday party picnic that a friend and I are hosting for another one of our lovely ladies. Selfishly, this is kicking off one of my goals for this spring & summer: to picnic more! So while I'm prepping for tonight's festivities, I wanted to share some picnic inspiration {as if the Miu Miu slingbacks weren't enough!} in case you feel compelled to join in this goal! If so & you'll be in New England, can we pretty please plan a picnic date soon?!?

Have a fantastic weekend!

Thursday Purseday: meet June

Today we are staying true to the season and our LOVE of vibrant colors with our our Purseday pick. Not only do I {Anna} have a massive obsession with Hobo brand leather goods, but this purse named June, especially caught my eye- being slightly retro and a carrying a whole lot of sass! Truth be told, every time I see a Hobo wallet, clutch or purse, I just can't help looking inside. WHY? Because they line their goods with the prettiest fabrics! Florals, stripes, polkadots, metallic linen... yes, it's basically the best idea ever.

Please, please weigh in: do ya love it or hate it?

Fresh fruit decor

With so many bright and fresh colors being seen in weddings these days, we're loving the idea of using fruit to add those pops of color! How fun and easy is it to pop over to your local market and pick up a case of lemons or oranges for escort cards?! Or even using fruit as a snack or take away for guests? As much as we love snacking on sugary sweet things, fruit would be just as fun!

{Clockwise from top left: via/via/via/via/via/via/via}

What do you think... would you use fruit to freshen things up on your big day? What kind of fruit would best accent your color palette?

Tuesday Shoesday: picnic chic

I don't know about you, but springtime equals picnic time in our book. Now that the warm weather is upon us, we're just dying for any excuse to pack up some snacks & dine atop a blanket in the fresh air. These Miu Miu Slingback Pumps can't help but to make us dream of the most chic of picnics...

{via}

While there is NO WAY that a lady in her right mind would don these saucy stilettos for such an occasion {who wants to ruin Miu Miu heels in the grass?!} the pretty plaid brings back butterflies & sweet memories of warm weather picnics. Just in case you can't resist these heels, they're available at Neiman Marcus!

Happy Shoesday, everyone!

Pretty inviting: Erin & Christian

Hey there! Today, we get to share one very special invitation suite that we created for an incredible fall wedding last year. This sweet couple had just re-located to London in the midst of planning their Pennsylvania wedding. They came to us with a simple & timeless vision for their invitation suite to set the stage for a gorgeous, rustic affair. Through creating their custom monogram and using a rich shade of antique brown along with a natural cork material {belly band} to add texture, we brought their letterpress vision to life and are just thrilled with it!! I {Anna} am such a sucker for monograms!

In addition to the basic invitation suite, Erin & Christian added a z-fold booklet to provide all the details for their wedding weekend. So perfect to tuck behind that belly band!

Thanks for letting us share and for being equally as giddy about pretty paper! Have a fabulous day!

Cheers!

Alas the weekend is here... how in the heck did that week fly by so quickly?! More than being excited to have a few days off to catch up life, laundry & friendships, we're pumped that some nice weather is on the way. This Saturday evening holds an engagement party for some dear friends up on the North Shore. In the spirit of celebration and the warm weather to come, this might just be the perfect excuse to bust out the popsicles & Prosecco for this deliciously slushy bev.

Thank you Southern Living for giving such a fabulous recipe. Is there a more appropriate way to toast our excitement for the months to come? Probably not. :) Have a wonderful weekend, pretties!

Cheers!

Thursday Purseday: Saturday Soiree

We've been on the search for the perfect tote for the spring time... a handbag such as this would have to fit the following criteria:

- She would be the ideal size to fit all your necessities {yes, us ladies tend to have a LOT of "necessities"}
- Of course she would come in a statement color, but nothing too crazy so it can remain versatile
- Not outlandishly expensive so you don't have to cry when a new handbag crush comes along {it's happened to the best of us}
- And last, there might even be a matching wristlet so when you're out on the town you can still be stylin' without hauling around all your treasures

Well, we're excited to have met the Saturday Soiree by Juicy Couture. This collection is every bit stunning- soft leather in shades of white, saddle, black, fuchsia and blue vista {shown} with contrasting piping & hardware. Oh and not to mentioned that this elegantly achieves the color blocking trend that is so hot right now!

Our final review: Hint of preppy + a little pop of nautical + trendy color blocking= the perfect bag for spring! This is one combo that we just ADORE!

Wedding registry tips

While talking with some friends the other day, we were reminded that wedding registry isn't always "fun" but it can also be super stressful for many brides and grooms. This wedding registry checklist is a great place to start tackling that task, but we also pulled together a list of our top 10 registry tips to share:

{via}

And don't be afraid to get creative with those thank you cards! We love making custom thank you postcards & including wedding day photos when the couple is holding their "thank you". So fun!

RI Monthly Engaged

Hello dahlings! How was your weekend? Did you have any fun Easter plans? Well, today we're just tickled to share that Rhode Island Engaged Magazine featured some of our stationery in their latest issue!

What a fun spread of nautical stationery... and Krissy & Joe's red and white polka-dot invitation suite is on the main page! Also, check out #9 on the right hand page! :) Custom tote bags {i.e. our Watch Hill tote below} are one of our favorite ways to deliver goodies to out of town guests. This is such a fun round up of New England gift ideas for a local wedding. Often, our brides like to include one of our custom hand-drawn maps of the area as a guide & keepsake {shown on bottom right hand page}.

We're flattered and oh-so-proud to be a part of this line up! Thanks for celebrating with us! :)

Easter Festivities

Not only is it Friday, but it's GOOD Friday! Yes, the Friday before Easter and we couldn't be more excited for the festivities that will take place this weekend. Between spending time with family and hosting an "Eggstravaganza"on Sunday, this weekend is going to be AWESOME! One event planned for Sunday is of course, egg decorating. This year, we're obsessing over using washi tape in lieu of dye. Aren't these super fun? And the best part... you won't have colorful fingers for the days to follow!

{via}

Egg decorating aside, this weekend is one of the most meaningful weekends of the year for Emily and I. We are so excited to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus and in the midst of all of the silly shenanigans {& bunny cake}, we'll be reflecting on the true meaning of this holiday. Come Sunday, we'll be uttering... "He is risen!"

Happy Easter weekend, everyone... and have a GOOD Friday! ;)

Minty fresh

Mint is everywhere these days and THANK GOODNESS for that because it puts such a crisp and fresh spin on things. While some of the innovative fashionistas have been rocking shades of mint for months already, the rest of us are just catching the fever. In honor of Thursday Purseday, we think these mint clutches are just to die for and they're the perfect way to start incorporating mint into your wardrobe!

April showers

We've had some rainy days here in New England lately {hello April!} and it's caused us to yearn for bright & vibrant colors more than usual. Can summer be here already!?! In spite of the grey days, there is no reason to match our clothes with the dreary mood, right? So, to brighten things up, we figured that a round up of rainy day attire was necessary... and we're flat out loving these Jelly Reva Ballet Flats from Tory Burch to stop through puddles in!

Designer Spotlight: Romona Keveza

After falling madly in love with one of Romona Keveza's couture gowns, I {Anna} frantically hopped on her website to peruse the oldest of her collection. To my surprise each of her Fall Collections included some extravagant blue gowns, ranging from creamy pastel shades to aqua. Soooo, what if that "something blue" you rocked on the big day was your wedding gown? Would you ever dare?!

{via Martha Stewart Weddings}

This one indeed makes me consider it, but here are some other works of art to help you mull it over.

{via}

Personally I'm not a fan of the blue, but oh that doesn't stop me from drooling over her designs... regardless of color, these dresses are incredible!

And of course, I can't NOT share the one that started this whole thing...

I love every single silky ruffle & the crisp, elegant lines. Swoon!

Raspberry Mojito Love

Ohhhhh Friday... what are we to do?! Not sure about you, but this week has been quite the busy one for us at Paper Moss. I personally am so excited to relax, finally see the Hunger Games and enjoy some much needed R & R. Part of the weekend ritual will definitely include sipping on a refreshing cocktail... and this week, my eyes have been set on the Raspberry Mojito that Lena featured over on A Crimson Kiss a few weeks back. You must become a regular on her blog- not only does the lady have the GREATEST cocktail recipes, but she is just the sweetest thing and is pumped full of gorgeous wedding inspiration! Without further adieu, meet the Raspberry Mojito:

Delicious and soooo simple:

1 1/2 oz of white rum 1 oz of freshly squeezed lime juice 3 sprigs of fresh mint 2 teaspoons of sugar 8 raspberries soda water

Have a fabulous weekend, pretties!!

Thursday Purseday: Sam Edelman

Long, long ago while pursuing the Bloomingdale's shoe department in New York, I fell in love with Sam Edelman. Oh goodness, I just can't get enough of those fashionable flats and fancy heels! Do you know what I mean?! Well ladies, we have news. Just the other week we learned that Sam is debuting handbags this season too! Naturally, today's purseday is devoted to highlighting some of our faves, all of which are sold at Bloomingdale's.

A sweet celebration

For some of us, a celebration just isn't a celebration without ice cream. This is one thing on the "must-have" list for my {Anna} future big day. There are endless ideas for how to execute this... from filled mason jars sitting on ice, to tray passed mini-cones, to bringing in a classic ice-cream truck... but thanks to an inspiration shoot featured on 100 Layer Cake, I've completely fallen in love with the idea of tray passed sundaes in vintage martini glasses!

Delicious and stunning! What is your favorite cake alternative dessert?

Coral Carvan Slingbacks

Coral... it was hot last year and thankfully it's back again this year. We just love this oh-so-versatile hue that can transition from spring to summer and even wiggle into fall! While you can't abuse the color {coral must be done in moderation, right?} nothing beats a saucy pair of coral pumps. These Carvan Bow Slingbacks are just the epitome of fuzzy, suede perfection.

{via}

Not to mention the fact that our favorite fashionista from Atlantic Pacific rocked them with a colorful frock just the other day. How does she do it?! Girl has got style... and we have got shoe envy!

Have a lovely shoes day, ladies!

DIY: Map Coasters

Oh hello and HAPPY Monday to you! In case you're fishing for some inspiration this week, we have quite the DIY to share! When we came across these adorable map coasters, we couldn't help but to think of several couples that we're working with right now who are quite travel savvy. These guys and gals have indeed shared some incredible adventures, all of which we think would be so fun captured in coaster form. :)
