White wedding shoes

Happy Tuesday Shoesday!! Today's feature is inspired by my boyfriends sweet sister, who has been on the search for the perfect white wedding shoe. While some brides have their hearts set on a bright sassy heel that "pops", others are aiming for a more elegant, traditional & timeless heel for their big day. Once you decide on the heel height {be sure and have your shoes by the time of your final dress fitting!!} the intense search begins...

One of my favorite places to search for a specific colored shoe is on Shop Style. Not only can you search by color, but you can also narrow down by price, style and brand. It is positively AWESOME. For all of you traditional brides, here's a round up of classic white shoes for our Tuesday Shoesday pick, all under $100!

Inspired By: Phillipa Lepley

I've never been the girl to dream of any future wedding details or play out the big day in my mind but I've always been a sucker for fancy dresses & anything fashion related. When this stunning photo popped up on my Pinterest page last year, I'll admit that there was a tiny little tug on my heartstrings. I mean seriously....

{via}

Get what I mean?! I was completely captivated by this gown and recently became set on tracking down the brilliant mind behind it. This determination led me to british designer, Phillipa Lepley whom, we {as Paper Moss} are now obsessed with. This gal has got talent! Just looking at her designs... the luxe fabrics, textures, intricate detailing, stunning lines... is enough to send our mind soaring and be a solid source of inspiration for the week...

Freshen up your color palette

We've been working on designing a super cute, subtly retro {yet elegant} Save the Date for a destination wedding this summer. It's been so fun looking at different color combinations to compliment the style, but this fresh monochromatic pairing landed on our favorites list.

So fun, isn't it?! You might have heard that mint is trending in weddings for 2013, so while dabbling in the freshness for their stationery design, we eagerly sought out inspiration in other areas to see how this hue is being used. Take a peek and let us know what you think...

Tuesday Shoesday: Simply Stated

With so many bright and punchy colors trending lately {recap: neon last summer, jewel tones this winter and sherbets for the spring} it is imperative to have a versatile shoe to pair with all of the brightness! Emily & I can't get enough of our nude pumps {seriously, the best purchase ever} and when I saw this wedding on Wedding Chicks, featuring an adorable collection of nude peep toes, my heart leapt for joy! Truly.

And while I'm at it, can I just say how much we adore the sweetly elegant, slightly understated gowns in contrast with all of the funky colors accenting this wedding?! Check out the rest of their feature!

Will you be my...

Choosing a bridal party is a tough and sensitive decision for many brides. To go with a large group or a small one? Do you include the fiancés family or not? What about your childhood best friend whom you always agreed you'd stand by each other... but you haven't been close with for years? In all honestly, if you're facing this dilemma {or have faced it before}, it simply means that you are blessed!! Yep, there's the silver lining, and it's ever bit true! Once you get past the tough part of making the decision, you can start to have fun with the asking... We adore this idea over on Wedding Chicks and time permitting, this would be our ideal route. Seriously, how cute is this?! Read more about the inspiration & the contents over on their blog!

Vendor Love: Donna Morgan

Those spring & summer weddings are rapidly approaching, and we've got our eyes on these gorgeous bridesmaids gowns from Donna Morgan that are perfect for those seasons. In a variety of colors {we're kinda digging the soft sherbet tones}, these chiffon frocks can be mixed and matched to compliment each maids body type and complexion! Pick as many styles and colors as you like, but we guarantee, if you let them wear a style they're comfortable in, your ladies will LOVE you for it... and they'll be able to focus more time and energy on making sure you're having the time of your life!

{images clockwise from top left: via/ via/ via}

What do you think of the mixing and matching trend? Would you do it? Did you do it?

Mrs. Shoesday

Finding just the right shoes for your big day is not an easy task. Not only does a gal have to make sure they're comfortable, but obviously they must be the perfect color and just the right style too. Whenever you find those kicks, we LOVE the idea of adding this personal touch!

{via}

Yep, they look super cute on sling backs but could work on nearly any style. All you have to do is add some adhesive glitter letters and you're set for a little custom pop! It's all in the details!

Wedding Website etiquette

Even though we're OBSESSED with all things paper, we're also huge fans of wedding websites. They are a fantastic way to communicate info to your guests information about the venue, accommodations + links, pre or post wedding events, and so on. If you're looking to start your own site, check out The Knot, the Wedding Channel or Wedding JoJo to get the ball rolling {it's never too soon!} and then, take note of these etiquette tips by none other than Emily Post, to make sure your site is perfectly polished.

Winter wedding bouquets

While perusing some of our favorite wedding blogs the other day, we became super excited about the idea of winter wedding bouquets. Some of our all time favorite blooms are out of season in the winter months, but that doesn't mean that a stunning bouquet can't be created by a qualified florist. Take a peek at some of these...

We're thinking that we might need an excuse to order a sweet bundle of wintery flowers, even though we're not in the midst of planning a winter wedding! Perhaps a hostess gift?! What is your favorite look for winter flowers?

Handmade wedding gowns

While perusing Etsy the other day for some holiday gift ideas, one thing lead to another and well, we ended up finding some pretty stunning wedding gowns. It's hard to resist!! From custom to eco friendly to designer inspired, Etsy has quite an array of handmade styles and price ranges. This begs the question... would you order your dress from an Etsy shop? Do you know anyone who has?

trending + loving: Purple

We were psyched {to say the least} when perusing Martha Stewart Weddings the other day and we noticed that low and behold, PURPLE is coming back as a wedding color trend. Now we know there are some haters out there, but please, keep an open mind and just imagine how many directions you can go with this hue. Whether it's a an elegant, regal affair or a rustic autumn gathering, purple is a versatile go-to. Pull together various shades and textures of linens, florals, paper, treats... and don't forget lighting, to really rock this monochromatic color scheme. See why we're loving it??? What do you think?

Take a seat

Something as simple as selecting the right chair can have a huge effect on the ambiance of your wedding- whether it be the ceremony or the reception. Yes, it can be a little intimidating knowing where to start or even what to ask your wedding planner, so we put together this little chair guide to give you the "vocab" needed to brainstorm the best option for your style and budget. Of course, there are more chair options out there, but these are an accessible and affordable place to start!

If you're tackling the planning + coordinating of your own wedding and are looking for a great rental company in the New England area, we can't sing enough praises about our friends at Rentals Unlimited!!

I do

Maybe it's just me being unobservant, but Fall weddings in New England seem to be far more popular than they were in the Northwest. In the spirit of Halloween landing on Wedding Wednesday, we figured that a little bit of wedded pumpkin art was only appropriate. If you had an autumn wedding, would you have pumpkins present?!

Have a happy & safe Halloween, lovelies!!

Real Weddings: Arianne + Spencer

In the rush of getting ready on the big day, many couples loose time to capture the fun that is had with their dearest friends: the bridal party. We're absolutely head over heels for Arianne & Spencer's wedding photos and today, for this reason, are so excited to share some awesome shots from their little pre-ceremony adventure. Seattle based Ryan Flynn Photography fabulously captured the funky Seattle vibe, as well as the personality of this gorgeous couple...

I'm kind of obsessed with these!!! You've got to see more from their big day {here}... HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

White wedding

Our time in New York was a blast, but we're so glad to be back in Boston! On Monday night we had the chance to get all fancified & go to The Knot's bridal gala as well as the 11th Annual Martha Stewart bridal market party. Both parties were so fun and we're humbled at the chance to go and be able to network with some of our wedding industry heroes! Nerdy? Absolutely. :) We're still crushing over the all white theme that Martha's staff used to transform the blank canvas of their warehouse. The highlight of the night? A surprise wedding was performed by Martha Stewart herself... and we just loved all of the clean, crisp white details that made the bride & groom glow. So this begs the question- what do you think of an all white wedding?

Linking up

While we're soaking up every bit of inspiration & fun here at Bridal Market in NYC, we mustn't neglect the importance of sharing these super cute Etsy cuff link finds with you. They're absolute perfection for a rustic chic wedding, don't you agree? Now to convince the groom and his bros to go with french cuffs...

Bridal Market 2012

What a fabulous week it has been! We're packing up and heading to New York for Bridal Market this weekend and really, truly, it's almost as exciting as Christmas. To kick off the festivities, Emily will be fashion show hopping to see several of our favorite bridal gown designers {ie, Amsale, Christos, Kenneth Pool} and their latest collections. This will indeed be a weekend filled with inspiration! Since we're stirring & giddy for tomorrow, we figured it is only appropriate to pay homage to these designers and highlight some of their gorgeous gowns!
