Addressing those Invitations

We often get questions about the proper etiquette for addressing invitations. If you've decided to hire a calligrapher {we LOVE calligraphy!!}, they are usually knowledgeable in the area and can help guide you through the process. If you've chosen to address them on your own however, these tips from some of our favorite etiquette divas {Emily Post & Martha Stewart} can help nudge you in the right direction. They are both great resources for etiquette in all areas of wedding planning, so if there's something not listed here, don't hesitate to do some research of your own on one of their sites!!

Happy Mailing!!!

Colored Toes

One shoe trend that we're just dying over are flats with capped, colored & contrasting toes! Such a fun way to brighten up an outfit and add some pizazz to your basic, oh-so-practical flats. Truth be told, with seeing so many colors, textures, patterns and materials in this trend, it's become a little overwhelming to know where to start!!!

Makes me want to dance

Today is a rare day in the Paper Moss world, it's Music Monday! We're only really deeming this Music Monday thanks to twitter's #musicmonday inspiration but we couldn't resist an opportunity to share some of the music that has been inspiring us as of late. Are we missing out on any new music??? Please share! A few on the current playlist:

Allen Stone

The Lumineers

Colbie Caillat

Chris Tomlin

and shamelessly, we're diggin' the new John Mayer

While on the topic of music, we spotted this adorable wedding favor over on Green Wedding Shoes the other day. The couple worked with Portland, OR based Steep Street to create several custom album covers for their compilation of songs that represented their love. How adorable is that?!?

Happy Music Monday and may you rock out to many awesome tunes this week!!

A reason to smile

It's Friday and I don't know about you, but I'm pretty pumped for the weekend. This week just flew by for us at Paper Moss. We've been chugging venti americanos, over-using the phrase "carpe diem", sorting through tons of GORGEOUS new stationery {and loving every second of it!!!}... but some days to catch our breath are much needed. :) What fun things do you have planned this weekend? Whatever it may be, we hope that you feel loved, appreciated and inspired in many ways. And to kick off the weekend, we wanted to remind you that...

Because it's true!! And we can never be reminded too much of things such as this. :) Happy Weekending, pretties!

Splurge: Sybil

The man we've loved for so many years because of his breathtaking shoes has done it once again... Christian Louboutin. This color blocked leather tote,  Sybilcaught our eye with clean lines, shiny gold hardware and some of our all time favorite colors! We love those signature red soles and we equally have fallen for the signature red wristlet that accompanies this tote.

Fancy Napkins

How was your weekend, lovelies? Being that springtime and sunshiny weather is the perfect time for housewarming parties, get-togethers and showers, we've been searching high and low for some fun ideas to spice up a table and here is one of our favorites that we stumbled upon...

{via}

I kid you NOT when I say that these napkins are actually a DIY. Can you believe it? I'm just dying to try my crafty little hands at these... which would equally make a perfect gift and a perfect addition any soiree. Hmmm...

Classic + neon

Sometimes a little Saturday visit to the beach is just what the doctor ordered to ignite some inspiration. That is definitely on our docket for tomorrow and following a relaxing day, we're planning to attend a neon party to properly welcome summer. Bring on the inspiration, right?! Being surrounded by friends adorned in neon sounds like a recipe for fun! All things considered, we figured that it might be fun to pair some electric pops of color with classic beach staples for a fresh summer look... and we're loving this combo SO MUCH that we might have to start the day with a little shopping to properly outfit ourselves! :)

Mel Boteri

When the weather gets nicer, all we want to do is lighten the load of things we're hauling around. These gorgeous clutches from Mel Boteri happen to be the perfect solution... complete with a convertible chain linked & leather strap if you're feeling lazy. We're loving everything from the vertical buckle to the high quality leather {we can almost smell it!} to the contrasting colors- especially the tangerine + royal! And if these bags aren't for you, create something super specific & unique by designing your own handbag with Mel Boteri! How cool is that?!?!

Just LOVING these fun & unique ideas! Hope you feel inspired on this Wedding Wednesday! xo

Good as gold

Some ladies lean more towards silver or platinum when it comes to precious metals, but for the last few years we just can't get enough of all things gold. Yes, even in our invitation suites we have had the joy of mixing and matching sparkly tones and foils to achieve some fairly glitzy, yet oh-so-elegant invitation suites. These Gucci peep toes are no exception- we're pretty sure that even if you're not a gold lover, they will blow your mind...

Mind blown? You're welcome. :) Happy Tuesday Shoesday!

Happy Friday

Hi pretties! What are you doing for the long weekend? Any fun plans? Please share. :) In just a few short hours, Paper Moss is taking off on a little vacay for the long weekend. Oh yes, said vaycay will involve soaking up sunshine, devouring barbecued food, long talks with friends, snacking on s'mores, pooling {hopefully with some floating flamingos}, relaxing and guaranteed lots of laughing. Since we blog about things that inspire us, it's fitting to say that this weekend will be one of those things and we're just beyond pumped!

Whatever it is that you have planned for the long weekend, we wish you lots of smiles, inspiration & safe travels!

Beach Bags

I don't know about you, but we've got some serious beach time planned for this 3-day weekend. Whether hitting the lake or the seaside, a fashionable beach-worthy tote is a necessity for the summer. In our searching, we can't seem to miss that there are sequins and bright colors all over the place! Here are some of our picks for super fun, yet affordable bags...

Featured: Stephanie & Marcos

Today we're excited to highlight the wedding of our past clients that was recently featured on Style Me Pretty!! Stephanie & Marcos had a stunning wedding for several reasons- first being that they are just a precious couple! Also, their chic color palette of cool grey & bright yellow, laced with crisp white could not have been more stunning... and we could not have pictured a more perfect planner for this occasion than the brilliant Sarah True of True EventSaltwater Farm Vineyard in Stonington, Connecticut is a stunning backdrop but Hana Floral Design, who worked their magic with lots of lush yellow florals, paired with beautiful threads {the wedding party was decked out in Jcrew's finest and the bride donned an Amsale gown} made sure that there were beautiful details in every corner. A big thank you & hats off to Anna Sawin Photography for capturing this gorgeous affair!

You've got to check out the full post- it's just packed with inspiration! And of course, stay tuned for more photos of their pretty paper goods! :)

Soludos

Confession: this girl {Anna} did not know what espadrilles were until a couple of years ago when a dear friend was referencing the shoes she would be donning for a summer evening out. What makes this unfortunate? I studied fashion in college... how did I miss that vocab word?! If you're in the same boat, just file that word away under summertime shoe faves and make note that a pair of Soludos espadrilles should probably find their way into your closet this summer. ;)

{via}

I just love their mantra that there is "life beyond the flip flop" and it reminds me to expand my horizons for casual shoe wear. Yes, these may appear to be a close relative to Toms, but don't be fooled! Soludos have been around for centuries and were sold in the Mediterranean long before they ventured into the states. We're obsessed with their breathable jute sole & their pretty patterned cotton & linen body... all perfect characteristics for those sunny summer days!

It's an NSS kind of day

It only comes but once a year... the National Stationery Show!!! Yep, Paper Moss packed up and headed to the Big Apple to chat about stationery trends, peruse new papers, talk pantones and giggle with sheer joy as we're surrounded by our favorite things.

Wish us luck as we're wading through some 800 exhibitors & the expected 11,000 attendees... :) Prayers are appreciated. We. will. Make. it out alive.
