Pretty Paper: Marah & Dan

Today you're in for a treat. Yes, we're a little partial because we're nerdy when it comes to paper. In all seriousness, for Marah and Dan's invitations we got to play with some new fonts, funky borders, banners and patterns- and pull them all together in one beautiful suite. It was super fun to think outside the box with the layout of their invitation text too, using lines to highlight important info as opposed to the more traditional 'flourishes'. Top it off with colored envelopes and custom postage and you can see why we're still swooning... hope you enjoy this sassy suite too!!

It's Tieks Tuesday!

We've heard the buzz for awhile now but in all honesty didn't REALLY catch on to the fabulousness of Tieks until our friend Jillian from Cornflake Dreams was oohing and aahing over them. Naturally after spending entirely WAY TOO LONG on their site, reading reviews, seeing adorable photos, perusing colors... we're intrigued and in love. Not only are they super cute, but they're also said to be ridiculously comfy and they're also conveniently portable {case and point below}. Tieks have earned a spot on our "must have" list for sure.

Color crushing on crimson

Monday, Monday!! It's here at last! How was your weekend, friends? We hope that you enjoyed some fun adventures and even caught a glimpse of the Academy Awards. In honor of the red carpet, we've been taking note of all things red- in various shades and tones. Take for instance this bright, berry Pantone chip...

{via}

Simply delicious! In all of it's elegance, we couldn't resist pulling together some more inspiration in shades of cherry, oxblood, crimson and scarlet so we could fully embrace this classic pop of color...

Have a beautiful day!

Weekend Inspiration

Happy Friday! I'm not sure about you, but it's been a long week on my end. Emily has been holding the fort down while I've been fighting the flu. It's been such a bummer to miss out on all of the fabulousness of this week but I'm so thankful and excited to be back at it today! This weekend is going to be all about catching up on everything that was put on hold last week, as well as indulging in some of my favorite things

Get healthy!

Make sure you're taking your vitamins and sanitizing the heck out of everything you come in contact with. I'll be disinfecting this weekend, and to help my body recoup & recharge, I'll be sucking down some vitamin packed smoothies.

Beautify those hands!

With the nasty winter weather, we're in dyer need of a mani and some serious moisturizing on the hands. Why not go for something a little funkier than usual for the polish this time around?!

{via}

Snuggle up & read a book!

Find a spot that you've never been to and hunker down to dive into that book that's been waiting on your reading list for far too long. We have too many of these- it's embarrassing and it's high time to start carving out some hours to read. Not only is it great to help mellow out after a long week, but it promotes creativity AND {depending on what you read} you could learn a little something! We're dying to check out the Boston Athenaeum for a hopeful reading spot... though most of the floors are for members only, the first is open to the public. Isn't it an incredible spot?!

What do you have on the agenda this weekend?

Tote this hand drawn beauty

For the last few weeks, we've been working on designing a vintage, nautical hand drawn map Save the Date for an ocean-side wedding. While I can't give away the cute details of said stationery quite yet, I thought that this Seafarer's Tote from Anthropologie was the perfect compliment to the designs... and a fitting Thursday Purseday pick, as our little vintage map is off at print this week!

Isn't it just adorable?!

The latest from Bliss Celebrations!

We recently had the opportunity to welcome the arrival of the latest issue of Bliss Celebrations Magazine at the Providence Public Library. It was such a beautiful night and a perfect way to celebrate some of the hottest trends in weddings & events. We couldn't resist sharing some of our favorite clips from this gorgeous magazine... but please, flip through the magazine and see for yourself how stunning it is!

We loved this beautiful feature of Sarah & Quin's wedding at Castle Hill. All of these fresh, romantic details were perfectly captured by Snap! Photography and we are honored to have been able to design some of their stationery items, including their letterpress invitation that was sent in a box of lavender.

...and Shannon & Brett's letterpress coaster Save the Date fits perfectly with this monochromatic round up.

Last, we had so much fun designing this shimmery invitation for a chic holiday get together! Agh, all of this sparkly inspiration is just making us think of more ways to incorporate more shine into every day.

Thanks for celebrating some of our recent press with us!! We couldn't possibly be more excited!

White wedding shoes

Happy Tuesday Shoesday!! Today's feature is inspired by my boyfriends sweet sister, who has been on the search for the perfect white wedding shoe. While some brides have their hearts set on a bright sassy heel that "pops", others are aiming for a more elegant, traditional & timeless heel for their big day. Once you decide on the heel height {be sure and have your shoes by the time of your final dress fitting!!} the intense search begins...

{via}

One of my favorite places to search for a specific colored shoe is on Shop Style. Not only can you search by color, but you can also narrow down by price, style and brand. It is positively AWESOME. For all of you traditional brides, here's a round up of classic white shoes for our Tuesday Shoesday pick, all under $100!

Friday Inspiration

Happy Friday, lovelies!! We hope you had a love-filled, chocolate-filled day yesterday and are getting geared up for the holiday weekend. Do you have any fun plans in honor of Presidents Day?

Pucker Up!

I've always been a sucker for the classic look of red lips. If Taylor Swift can rock bright red lipstick, then SO CAN WE and so can YOU! Find the right shade of red to compliment your complexion and brighten up your pout for a night on the town. Find how to flawlessly apply here.

Bite the bullet & get organized!

Cold weather always makes it less appealing to go outside, so alas, we're going to take this opportunity to get re-organized. Enough with the procrastinating & excuses. This is finally happening and you better believe that it's going to feel amazing after all is said and done. Is there a closet, desk or storage space that you've been needing to re-org? Jump on board with us!! We're quite inspired by this closet layout from Design Darling...

Sing Happy Birthday!

Yes, we recognize Monday as Presidents Day, but the whole thing started in honor of good old George Washington's birthday. Why not bake a cake {or cupcakes} and celebrate Mr. Washington and the other great leaders of our country. We think this one from Mowielicious looks incredible!

Have a fabulous, long weekend!! xoxo

Be inspired, Valentine!

Whether you're planning on having a romantic celebration with your love or a party with your besties, you can't deny that tomorrow is a day to celebrate those who are most important in your life. Yes, I was once a hater of this holiday, however the last several years have been infused with appreciation of my dearest friends and family who are so incredibly loving and encouraging. THEY inspire me. Said Valentines will be celebrated tomorrow indeed, but this is my first Valentines Day with my man and I couldn't be more excited for our date!! What do you have brewing for tomorrow night? While putting the finishing touches on plans {or pulling them together last minute} enjoy a little Valentines day inspiration..

And this last one is a free printable that looks super cute in a frame. I love this verse and think that it would be a super cute decoration regardless of the time of year!!

The sweetest of all

Happy Monday! Wow, what a weekend that was!!! How did you East Coasters all survive Nemo? It's absolutely crazy to think that I missed the ENTIRE storm {while weekending in Minnesota} and came back to the city slowly getting back into the groove of things with mounds of white lining the streets & cars buried and the subway finally up and running today. Stories of a crazy weekend will be coming for weeks, I'm sure! Things feel more wintery than ever though, and it's just in time for Valentines week! We saw this super cute & fabulously festive cheesecake over on Cooking Classy and it seems like a perfect treat to whip up while we're passing time bundled inside!!

Do you have any fun Valentines week plans yet? Any plans to make a special dinner or craft a delicious treat to share with your most loved ones?

Weekend inspiration

Happy weekend, dear friends! What kind of shenanigans do you have up your sleeves these next few days? On our end, this is sure to be a weekend packed full of inspiration... between the massive amounts of snow we're expecting in Boston, Emily heading off to Pennsylvania {weather permitting} and me heading to Minnesota {yes, in the dead of winter}, we're full on anticipating the need for coziness.

Layer those sweaters!

Who'd have thought we'd ever get to this point?! Being a Seattle native, I'm pretty stinkin' nervous about getting owned by the chilly Minnesota temperatures so I'll be piling on sweaters in effort to not get frostbite. If you're somewhere that's expecting snow, join in the fun!

{via}

Have a cozy brunch!

Whether you're spending the weekend solo, with your honey or with your friends, make a delicious and carb filled brunch. Think of it as a mini-holiday and celebrate the fact that you can relax!

{via}

Make something rustic & wintery!

Tis the season for an easy DIY that is reminiscent of the great out doors, right?! We're loving these tree trunk coasters and it's a super easy craft for lazy weekend.

Happy relaxing!

Thursday Purseday: Add a statement piece

Those who have been reading for awhile know that Milly is one of my all time favorite designers. Since she only added handbag design to her repertoire a couple of years ago, I still regularly stalk the latest collection. Though patterns can be slightly intimidating for an accessory such as this, we're totally digging this Tribal Canvas Clutch & Tote combo! What a perfect statement piece for the upcoming spring season, don't you think?!

{via}

Also, for those of you who share the love for Milly, have you heard that she is designing a special Hampton's influenced line for Banana Republic that will debut this May! Thanks to our dear friend Erin, at One Two Summer for keeping my obsessive self in the loop on this development! Hope you're equally as excited about this new venture!!!

Pretty Paper: Jordan & Geoff

Several months ago we were thrilled to feature the wedding of Jordan & Geoff and today we're even more psyched to share their letterpress invitation suite. We absolutely loved incorporating some modern elements {ie, the non-traditional layout of their invitation, a funky, slightly retro pattern throughout} and pulling in their super fun monogram on both their additional card as well as the outer envelope custom postage stamp. Hope you enjoy!!

Tuesday Shoesday: bold & sassy

Since yesterday we highlighted a wedding gown designer who makes our jaws drop, it's only fitting to share a shoe designer on this Tuesday Shoesday, that has the same effect on us. Admittedly, we would NEVER wear these {can we even call them heels?!} but we're fully intrigued by the bold shape & sassy statement made by Giuseppe Zanotti.

{via}

And rest assured that even though they're not our style, we'll bare no judgement to those who love 'em!! :)

Inspired By: Phillipa Lepley

I've never been the girl to dream of any future wedding details or play out the big day in my mind but I've always been a sucker for fancy dresses & anything fashion related. When this stunning photo popped up on my Pinterest page last year, I'll admit that there was a tiny little tug on my heartstrings. I mean seriously....

{via}

Get what I mean?! I was completely captivated by this gown and recently became set on tracking down the brilliant mind behind it. This determination led me to british designer, Phillipa Lepley whom, we {as Paper Moss} are now obsessed with. This gal has got talent! Just looking at her designs... the luxe fabrics, textures, intricate detailing, stunning lines... is enough to send our mind soaring and be a solid source of inspiration for the week...

Weekend Inspiration

Happy Friday!! Whether you're a football fan or not, chances are you'll be seeing or hearing about the big game on Sunday.

{via}

It's almost unavoidable {not that we've tried} so we're embracing the opportunity to tap into our inner domestic goddess. Which brings me to these recipes & snacks that I've been dying to try.

{1} Guac

{2} Black Bean Sliders

{3} Baked Potato Rounds

{4} Crudite Shooters

I'm always on the search to improve my guac recipe... and the black bean sliders sound like perfection! What will you be cooking up for the festivities this weekend? And more importantly, will the Ravens crush the 49ers?!
