Pretty Paper: Becky & Patrick

Happy Monday! This weekend was full of celebrations- aside from my birthday, two of our sweet clients, Becky & Patrick tied the knot! In honor of their recent nuptials, we're excited to share their hand calligraphed, letterpress invitation suite with painted gold edges. By pairing a modern calligraphy style with the antique pattern and icons, their designs set the tone for an elegant, fall wedding that was full of rich colors and romantic, vintage details. We're just so excited to see how their vision came together on the big day!!

Real Weddings: Jordan & Geoff

Today as we continue to reflect on the things we're thankful for, our fabulous clients are definitely at the top of the list. Getting to know each couple and working together on such a special project makes us psyched to see their wedding photos. Jordan and Geoff are a prime example- thankfully, this sweet couple just relocated to Boston and we've had the joy of running into them!! We're excited that they, along with Emilie Photography were willing to share their elegant, coastal wedding with us...enjoy!!

from the bride: My most memorable moment was the first-look. Geoff came to my parent's oceanfront rental home and I remember seeing him face out to the ocean as I walked down. I was SO excited to see him! It was definitely the most intimate part of the day. I am glad we had those few minutes alone because the entire day was so busy!

from the bride: I LOVED our seating cards. My mom and I collected driftwood and made burlap boats out of it. On every boat was a flag with the person's name and table number. I loved these boats because it fit into our coastal theme but it had that DIY feel to it at the same time! To keep things unique and emphasize the coastal elegance, we had these gorgeous shell centerpieces instead of flowers!
from the bride: The wedding was the best day of my life! It was so fun to have everyone Geoff and I love in the same place. Our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were all held at the Wequassett. A beautiful porch wrapped around the ballroom, allowing our guests to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful scenery if dancing did not appeal to them! I loved all of our vendors. They were so easy and fun to work with throughout our wedding season.

Pretty Paper: Kacie & Beau

Friday is upon us at last and ohhh what a week it's been. Between Hurricane Sandy leaving her mark and Halloween hitting mid-week, it's been quite the adventure. In light of it all, we wanted to end the week with something sweet & elegant- the invitation suite of Kacie & Beau. This couple couldn't have been sweeter themselves and truly their soft grey + white letterpress suite perfectly set the tone for their big day. Lacey patterns + funky fonts all pressed into cotton paper?! YES, this happened:

Have a lovely weekend!! And to all who have been affected by the storm, you're in our prayers!

Simple + Elegant Save the Dates

One of my favorite things about doing custom design is getting to know our clients. Building relationships and friendships with them through their wedding planning process is so unique... it leaves us nervously giddy when the wedding day comes and consequently, emotional when months later, the links to wedding photos pop up. Sabrina and Greg are a prime example and just the other day while looking at how their vision came together, I was overtaken by emotion & gratitude that we got to participate in bringing it to life. More info on their beautiful day is to come, but for now, take a peek at their stunningly elegant letterpress Save the Dates!!

So much seaglass

Happy Monday and HAPPY Columbus Day! How was your weekend? If you're enjoying a 3-day, we hope you're off doing something super fun. Today, we get to share a stunning invitation suite that we created with Courtney & Jason. Their wedding took place a few short weeks ago at the amazing Ocean House, which you may know that we're obsessed with. :) Courtney came to us with a sincere appreciation for letterpress and inspiration derived from sea glass. We love the soft & elegant outcome of their pattern, not to mention the double thick paper, letterpressed backing on the invitation AND the envelope liner with their sweet quote on it. Gah!!

Indeed, the perfect way to set the tone for Courtney & Jason's black tie event. More on that to come at a later time... ;) for now, enjoy!

Rustic Chic at Riverside Farm

Today I'm so excited to share one of my favorite rustic chic Save the Dates that we designed for an upcoming wedding. Working with {bride-to-be}Allison was such a treat. Not only was she the sweetest gal ever, but she loved thinking outside the box to create her and Don's one of a kind stationery. We were thrilled to incorporate a sketch of their wedding venue & use fun fonts to keep the look simple & elegant. Through foil printing white on kraft paper, we achieved a texture and rich finish that is even more stunning in person! And custom stamps... well, you know how we feel about those! A perfect cherry on top!!

Pretty Paper: Custom Map Save the Date

Lately we've been hearing that many weddings are more than just a one day event, especially when there will be a lot of out of town guests. Kimberly & Dan are a prime example and when they wanted to incorporate one of our custom maps with their schedule of events & accommodations, we found the perfect solution for their elegant affair.

And picture those black envelopes beautifully calligraphed in a white paint! Agh! They were stunning!!! I'm excited to admit that we have several other custom map Save the Dates in the works... stay tuned for more fun pictures of pretty paper! Happy Wedding Wednesday!!!

Tonight, tonight!!

On this sweet Wedding Wednesday, we figured it is only appropriate to start the day with some fresh, beautiful blooms. This combination of shapes & textured flowers makes us swoon... almost as if they're sitting in the office, smiling back at us. There's nothing quite like a vibrant bouquet to breathe some life into the day, right?

Today isn't your average Wedding Wednesday. Why you may ask? Well, tonight, we co-host Wedding Crush and we couldn't be more psyched! Reason to celebrate

Oh HAPPY MONDAY! Today, we're just grinning from ear to ear {and blushing a bit too} because there's been some Paper Moss in the press lately! Oh goodness!! We just couldn't be more excited to share these features and shout-outs from some of our favorite local and national wedding magazines. Thank you, THANK YOU for sharing in this giddiness with us! Of course, they're much prettier on the glossy printed pages, but this will do for now... :)

SLW.jpg

We loved working with Courtney & Anderson on the day of accessories for their stunning wedding at the Textile Museum. A wedding so beautiful, it captured the attention of Southern Living Weddings?! We couldn't agree more!

bostonweddings.jpg

And if you have the chance, please sweep up this issue of Boston Weddings Magazine... packed full of chic inspiration for all things pink & wedding related. Tijana & Tyler's Coco Chanel inspired invitation suite worked perfectly with the rest of the spread and we're still swooning over some of the ideas on those pages!

knotsummer2012.jpg

And last but not least, we just can't stop loving The Knot and are flattered to have Cailin & Ezra's letterpress invitation suite featured in the national Summer 2012 issue!! Granted, those french macarons are vying for our attention, but the delicate details of inspiration on this page are unreal!!! :)

Thanks for celebrating with us!!! xoxo

Pretty Paper: Laura & Rich

Just the other day we were able to peek at some pictures from Laura & Rich's gorgeous wedding in Newport, RI. Every last detail of their day was perfectly locked into place... and we couldn't be more excited for them! While we're still just beaming over the outcome of their chic invitation suite and all of the matching day of accessories, on this wedding Wednesday, we want to start by sharing their Save the Date. Yes, soon enough we hope to gush over their big day with y'all... but until then, enjoy this nautical card & envelope combo, perfectly topped off with address labels and custom postage stamps. LOVE!!

Pretty Paper: Stephanie & Marcos

Today we're super pumped to share some details of a modern invitation suite that we just adore. A few weeks ago we were squealing with joy when Stephanie & Marcos' wedding was featured on Style Me Pretty. This wedding, coordinated by the über talented Sarah True of TRUE Event, was phenomenal! Really, truly, if you haven't seen the post yet, hop on over and check it out. Anyway, to give guests a taste of what to expect on their big day, we paired a soft grey letterpress pattern with it contrasting in white foil print on the outer envelope. Through the RSVP envelope and bakers twine, we incorporated pops of lemon yellow which added a punch to the whole suite. And last but not least, we topped it all off with custom postage stamps to tie it all together!! Oh how we LOVE custom postage! :)

We couldn't be more thrilled with how this suite came together and tying the designs into their day of accessories was so much fun! Here are a few little shots that we couldn't resist sharing. :)

Invitation stuffing

The wedding planning is in full swing and your invitations are en route. After the brainstorming, the custom design rounds, choosing fonts, choosing paper, selecting stamps & arranging for addressing, the time to stuff & send is finally here! Well we figured that rather than making you figure out how to stuff your invites on your own, we'd lend a hand and try to simplify the process. No, it doesn't take a rocket scientist, but there indeed is etiquette involved and that cannot be messed with. Soooo, that being said, here's the scoop:

For more insights and specifications on stuffing, visit Emily Post! Oh, we should also add that once everything has been addressed, assembled and sealed (suggested in that order) we advise that you take back to the post office and drop off by hand to avoid any error. We do not suggest dropping them off in the blue postal bins. One can never be too safe with such pretty paper!!

Featured: Stephanie & Marcos

Today we're excited to highlight the wedding of our past clients that was recently featured on Style Me Pretty!! Stephanie & Marcos had a stunning wedding for several reasons- first being that they are just a precious couple! Also, their chic color palette of cool grey & bright yellow, laced with crisp white could not have been more stunning... and we could not have pictured a more perfect planner for this occasion than the brilliant Sarah True of True EventSaltwater Farm Vineyard in Stonington, Connecticut is a stunning backdrop but Hana Floral Design, who worked their magic with lots of lush yellow florals, paired with beautiful threads {the wedding party was decked out in Jcrew's finest and the bride donned an Amsale gown} made sure that there were beautiful details in every corner. A big thank you & hats off to Anna Sawin Photography for capturing this gorgeous affair!

SMP_stephMarcos.jpg

You've got to check out the full post- it's just packed with inspiration! And of course, stay tuned for more photos of their pretty paper goods! :)

It's an NSS kind of day

It only comes but once a year... the National Stationery Show!!! Yep, Paper Moss packed up and headed to the Big Apple to chat about stationery trends, peruse new papers, talk pantones and giggle with sheer joy as we're surrounded by our favorite things.

Wish us luck as we're wading through some 800 exhibitors & the expected 11,000 attendees... :) Prayers are appreciated. We. will. Make. it out alive.

Pretty Paper: Kelly & Chris

Today I'm super excited to share one of my {Anna's} favorite invitation suites with you! Last year when we started working with Kelly & Chris, we had no idea the directions their invitation suite designs would take. After drafting a few ideas, nothing quite came to life... until we introduced the sheep. This little icon, reminiscent of the sheep that wander the hills surrounding their wedding venue, was prevalent in their invitations and all of their day-of accessories- we even incorporated sheep confetti in their programs! But truly, I'm most obsessed with their RSVP card that was in the format of a Mad Libs! It must have been so fun to get each of the responses back! Who would have thought that a sheep theme would be so darn cute?!
