Wedding Inspiration: Fiery Ombre

Yes, Valentine's Day has long passed but we're still obsessing over the monochromatic wedding color palette of pinks, reds and purple. How great is it that these warm to cool ombre tones are no longer solely associated with that one day each year, but yet when put together they create a firey, romantic glow that would be perfect for the big day. And the best part? While there's without a doubt a romantic vibe, things are still light and fun... not over the top! What do you think- would you ever consider this palette {or an ombre spin on your own palette} for your wedding?

A girls best friend

Remember back in the days of adolesence, shopping at Claire's Boutique? That is where we first discovered the faux diamonds that tugged at our heart and provoked dreams of real, grown up diamonds. Now that we're much older and much classier {obvs!} our grown up diamonds are reserved for timeless pieces... but that doesn't take away our child-like dreams of a diamond covered tote bag... strikingly similar to this fabulous Tromp L'Oiel 'Diamonds' Tote by Alan Bilzerian! It's like he read our minds!

This leather handled, canvas bag would be just perfect to tote around our treasures in. Besides, what girl doesn't like to pile on a little bling every now and then?

Pretty Inviting: Emily & Justin

We wanted to take this Wedding Wednesday opportunity to share a recent invitation suite that we created for a sweet couple, Emily and Justin. Working with these two was just a blast... in Emily we found a bride to be who loved paper & design every bit as much as we do! Every stage of the custom process was so much fun- from the start of their letterpress invitation suite design, to designing the coordinating accessories and finally, the keepsakes for their wedding. This invitation suite perfectly captured the elegance of their vineyard wedding that would take place at Saltwater Farm Vineyard, in Stonington, CT. Emily's color palette of purplish-blue and silver beautifully complimented the vineyard inspired designs on this double thick, double letterpressed invitation suite. We're still just giddy over how these turned out... and they perfectly set the tone for a wedding was nothing short of breathtaking! Happily ever after

Over the long weekend, something amazing happened. One of our dear friends found the wedding gown of her dreams... and can we just say that AMAZING doesn't even begin to describe how stunning she looks in this dress?! Yes, our blushing bride to be is beaming with joy and though the details of said gown are behind sealed lips, it's no secret that she'll be sporting TOMS on the big day. Now that the dress has been found, we're left with one more important question... will she wear white TOMS or rock that "something blue" on her feet?

{via}

The TOMS wedding line has plenty of options ranging from pale shades of grosgrain to glittery silver or blue... thankfully we're not the ones deciding because it might require a shoe change every hour just to fit all the pretty colors in. Either way, not only will the bride have some pretty awesome {and super comfortable} wedding shoes, but it's yet another reason to support the TOMS Movement. And that friends, is quite a way to start "happily ever after".

President's Day

Happy President's Day! I'm not sure how you're planning on celebrating but when 5:00 rolls around, if you're hankering for an adult beverage, take your sips in honor of our Presidents. Herbert Hoover described the cocktail hour as “the pause between the errors and trials of the day and the hopes of the night." Thank you, Mr. Hoover, I can drink to that! Apparently FDR is credited for making a Dirty Martini {one of our faves} well known, so if you're looking for a festive cocktail that's not all patriotic {red,white & blue} and sugary sweet, this is one classic way to celebrate!

Mine & Yours

It's Friday... and better yet, a Friday of a long weekend! Don't get us wrong, we love what we do so these long weekends are bitter sweet. We all need some time to catch up on life though, and after a day of errands and cleaning what is better than to relax with a friend {or special someone} bundled up in blankets, watching movies and eating ice cream? Maybe it's just me {Anna} and this unhealthy obsession I have with the dessert, but I believe there is never a bad time for ice cream... and these spoons from Beach House Living are a must.

{via}

What an adorable gift too! Pair with some ice cream bowls like these ones from Anthropologie and if you're really goin' for it,  an ice cream maker like this one that is on sale at Williams Sonoma. LOVE!

Happy weekending, lovelies!

Color Blocking

Happy Thursday Purseday, everyone! We're pretty pumped about the vibrant colors we're seeing for spring and summer fashion. Seriously after some grey winter weather, all we want is to see bright & happy colors, patterns and.... people. Don't you?? Here's a round up of some drool-worthy wristlets in these punchy colors that we're obsessing over. Which one would you choose?!

From top to bottom:

Fendi,

SR Squared,

Mossimo,

Tory Burch,

Loving on lace

While perusing Style Me Pretty yesterday, this stunning Los Angeles wedding caused me to do a double triple take on one simple, inexpensive and AWESOME wedding decor idea.

These add the perfect amount of whimsy and vintage flair! And what a fabulous idea to place behind the dessert table! LOVE.

Upon further investigation, we've also fallen for the idea of mixing bright, fun fabrics in lieu of the lace, to add some pops of color! Get the DIY here, courtesy of Martha. Could you IMAGINE a slew of these hanging at the end of the aisle where your beloved is waiting on the big day? What a gorgeous frame to say "I do" in front of!

Did you see?!

We hope you had a magnificent weekend! One little valentines day gift that came to us early is just too exciting not to share with you. As you probably know, we just adore Style Me Pretty and there's a good chance you share this sentiment. We were over the moon when we heard that our sweet clients, Sarah and Zack were selected to have their wedding featured on the Massachusetts blog. This wedding was nothing short of spectacular... take a look, we're sure you'll agree!!

Weekend Inspiration: V-Day

Hey loves, happy Friday! What sort of fun plans do you have up your sleeves for the weekend? Any adventures in store? We're sticking around the city and have many errands, meetings and catch ups planned... and by "catch ups" I mean sleeping and watching movies that were missed in the theater. SO. EXCITED. With Valentine's Day coming up on Tuesday, some crafting will inevitably be taking place too. Growing up, making valentines was my {Anna's} favorite part about the holiday. I love these fun ideas for cards and other treats to make V-Day a bit more special...

{via}

At first glance this card looks way too complicated or fancy to be a DIY, but thanks to Kind Over Matter, we have the step-by-step directions to ensure perfection. Maybe not the best option if you have a long list of valentines to make, but aren't they just amazing?

{via}

Leave it up to Martha to think of the coolest way to deliver pink and red candy yet still make sure the packaging is personalized. I LOVE these bags and they aren't too labor intensive once you get the photo scanned and printed!

{via}

Valentine's Day straws?! I'm a sucker for striped straws {pun intended} and these straw ornaments are so cute! Whether you're making them for a small soiree or your kiddos class, these are definitely one V-day gift that will make an impression. Get the how to here!

{via}

A fancy little fact about these cute cards: this DIY was intended for kids, but they're cute enough for grown ups!!! The mini-vellum envelopes add the perfect touch too, with those bright squares shining through!

So tell me, are you making Valentine's Day cards this year? Yes, it may be a tradition for kiddos, but I don't believe that's a good reason to hold back. :) Call me crazy... but I'm about to get crafting!

Have a fabulous weekend!

This is love

This time of year always makes us think of pulling out all of our pink, purple and red attire, just to be festive, you know? Well as much as we'd LOVE to jump on the Valentine's Day bandwagon, we'd much rather jump on the Gucci bandwagon and invest in one of these Valentine colored Soho Boston Bags. Regardless of how you plan to spend the holiday, this bag would be the perfect date for a night out with the gals, the perfect gift from the hubs {hint, hint}... and the richly colored leather and classic shape would be effortless to fall in love with! Hmmm... swoon!

The 1st Anniversary

Tradition points to a paper related gift for a 1-year wedding anniversary... well, needless to say for us paper lovers, this is great news! Paper is said to symbolize strength as well as delicate nature of a one-year old marriage. Whether you're in to the symbolism or following that particular tradition, we've fallen for this sentimental anniversary gift ( or Valentines Day present... hint, hint!) from Suzy Shoppe.

{via}

They will incorporate a love letter, wedding vows or sentimental song lyrics to make this piece of art an expression of the couple. And if you're in wedding planning mode, fear not because Suzy Shoppe also offers an adorable option for a guest "book"!

Pink peep toes

Did you realize that Valentine's Day is just one week from today?! Oh goodness, how the days are just sneaking up on us! In honor of the impending holiday, we had to share this gorgeous shot from Jessica Strickland Photography that highlights these saucy hot pink wedding shoes along with the bride and groom's wedding rings. The contrast of these vibrant, glitzy colors is just perfection.

If you're planning your wedding, will you be donning colored shoes under your gown?

DIY: Perfect Pillows

Oh Monday, what shall we do with you? Oy, that was a rough game for those of us rooting for the Pats- did you catch it? This next week {at the least} will be a somber one in New England. What's better to cheer up the blues but a little crafting time? After recently coming to terms with the fact that I have major throw pillow obsession of mine in full force, I cast aside all cares and continue to crush on this spunky, customizable cushion that was originally spotted on Whit and Whistle.

OBSESSED. Can you imagine the possibilities? Quotes, a favorite Bible verse, a wedding vow...? Such a sentimental addition to any home and what a sweet gift this would be!!

Game Day Goodies

It's FRIDAY! And not just any Friday... the Friday before Super Bowl Sunday. Yes, this means it's likely that you're gearing up to host or attend a party for Sunday's festivities. I don't know about you, but we're pumped to see the Pats take home another win!!!

While some of this weekend will likely be devoted to cooking and preparing for the game, we wanted to share our top picks for Super Bowl recipes... but if you're hosting, don't forget to have some "healthy" snacks in there too!

1: Balsamic Honey Pulled Pork Sliders

2:  Oven Fries and Spicy Mayo

3: Cucumber Crudite Dip

Enjoy your weekend, lovelies!!

True Art

One thing that is truly inspiring to us at Paper Moss is seeing other art mediums. These perfectly captured designer purse sketches are a prime example. We love every last detail put into this work of art... not just the handbags, but the personality surrounding each of them. How amazing would this be hanging in a frame?

{via}

With this ring

We fell in love with Paloma's Nest long ago... everything about their delicate wedding keepsakes makes us feel all sappy and sentimental! Seriously, have you visited their site?! Obviously we love anything and everything that is customizable and these hand crafted ring bearer bowls are the perfect touch to help that little man deliver your rings.

And when the wedding is over, the bowl can be displayed or can even be used to hold your ring if you ever need to take it off. The gold leaf rimmed ones {also available in silver} are just stunning too and add an elegant splash of color...

Will you {or did you} have a ring bearer at your wedding? How are they delivering those rings?

Step it up, boys

To date, we've never done a Tuesday Shoesday post for mens shoes but today, that changes. While catching up on some of the latest fashion trends, we learned a shocking little secret brewing over in the U.K.. British boys are said to be sporting "wedge soles" to add 1.2 inches to their height. These wedges by J by Jasper Conran, now available at Debenhams are outselling the stores expectations by 85 percent, according to Fashion Etc. We're dying to know what you think- would you let your honey rock a pair of these?

Who wants to bet Ryan Seacrest has a pair of these?

Simply sweet

Hello lovelies, how was your weekend? Here in New England, we were lucky enough to have some beautiful, sunshiny days and we couldn't help but to dream of spring and all the pretty blooms we have to look forward to. Peonies are among our favorite flowers in the Paper Moss office... we just adore those ruffly little balls of beauty that smell oh-so-sweet!

{via}

They sure make a stunning wedding bouquet too, don't you agree?
